(for swimming). തറുതല T. So. No. low, trifling, fool-hardy, mischievousness. ത. പറക to speak indirectly, evasively. തറുതലക്കാരന്‍ a mischievous & fool-hardy man. തറുപ്പു V1. a brush. തറുവാങ്കം a. med. = സര്‍വ്വാംഗം.

toṭṭil 5. (തൊട്ടു‍ + ഇല്‍) A cradle. പൊ ന്നുകൊണ്ട് ഒരു തൊട്ടിലും കുട്ടിയും തരുവന്‍ SG. (a vow before child-birth). തൊട്ടില്‍പാട്ടു a lullaby. തൊ'ലേശീലം (see ചുടല).

tēr̀uγa T. M. C. Te. Tu. (തിറം, തെറി, also related with തേള്‍). 1. To be strengthened, thrive തേറുന്ന ഭക്തി, തേറിന മോദം Mud. ശരീരം തേറീട്ടില്ല (= തടിച്ചില്ല), തേറി വന്നു. 2. to mend, recover, (Nasr. to be converted). തേറരുതാതോളം അത്തല്‍ RC incurable grief. വാക്കു കേട്ടു വേദന വേറിട്ടു തേറിനാര്‍ CG. were comforted. എന്നെ നീ പേടിക്കാതേ തേറുക മ നോഹരേ CG. take courage! 3. v. a. to believe, തേറുകേ വെണ്ടു ഞാന്‍ ചൊന്നതെല്ലാം CG. എന്നതു തേറുമാറു RC. so as to believe. ചതി എന്നു തേറിനാള്‍ RC. concluded, knew. ജയി പ്പാന്‍ പണി തേറു നീ Bhr. believe me, we cannot conquer തേറിനാര്‍ Bhr. resolved. — തേ റിയോനേ മാറല്ല മാറിയോനേ തേറല്ല prov. trust. എനിക്കവരെയും അവര്‍കള്‍ക്കെന്നെയും മ നക്കുരുന്നില്‍ തേറരുതു Bhr. we can no more trust each other. (T. = കള്‍ palmwine), nectar, perh. = തേന്‍ f. i. ഓമന വായ്മലര്‍ത്തേറല്‍വീ ണേററവും CG. bewitching words of a child ദേവിയാം പൂമലരില്‍ താവുന്നോരാനന്ദത്തേ റല്‍ മാനസമാകിയ വണ്ടുണ്ടുണ്ടു CG. 3. trust, reliance, പൈന്തേറല്‍ തേറുമവര്‍, തേ. വിളി പ്പിത്താന്‍ അഴകെഴു പുഷ്പകം അന്നേരം RC. tiṭṭam 1. Tdbh.; ദിഷ്ടം. Determined; accuracy. എല്കയുടെ തി. അറിഞ്ഞവര്‍ VyM. — തിട്ട പ്പെടുക to be regulated, to agree exactly. തി'മാക്കുക to adjust, regulate, തി. വരുത്തുക to make sure of, ascertain exactly, settle the price VyM. മുക്കാല്‍ത്തിട്ടം VyM. = വാശി q. v. 2. tani T. M. a C.( തന്‍) By itself, alone കാ ട്ടില്‍ എങ്ങനേ തനിയേ പോകുന്നു, ജനനിയെ ത നിയേ ആക്കി നീ ഗമിച്ചിതോ നാകം KR. തനി പ്പാല്‍ B. tīruγa 5. (fr. തീര്‍) 1. To be completed, perfected. ദേഹം മുഴുവനേ തീരുന്നതിന്‍ മുന്പേ Bhr. ere fully formed. അവളില്‍നിന്നു ബുധന്‍ തീര്‍ന്നു Bhr. was born. തീര്‍ന്നു വരുന്ന ഉറുപ്പികTR. the sums accruing. കാര്യം ഇവിടുന്നു തീരായ്കകൊണ്ടു TR. cannot be settled by me. കാര്യം തീര്‍ന്നു the question is solved. — അവന്‍ മരി ച്ചുള്ള ചാവു തീരേണം TP. he must be avenged. ഇളപ്പം തീരുവാന്‍ to have the disgrace atoned for. കൊന്നാല്‍ പാപം തിന്നാല്‍ തീരും prov. is expiated. എന്നാല്‍ കൈവിഷം തീരും a. med. will be remedied. ശാപം തീരാ Bhr. 2. to be finished, to cease. തീര്‍ന്നിതല്ലോ Bhr. they are done for, dead. മുടിക്കിലേ കോപം തീരു CG. only his death can end my wrath. അത്തലും തീര്‍ന്നു നടന്നാര്‍ CG. happily restored. ശാപം അല്പകാലംകൊണ്ടു തീരും, ശാപം തീരാ Bhr. to come to an end. 3. aux V. 1. to become, turn out ദുഷ്ടനായിത്തീര്‍ന്നു, മഹാദിവ്വനായീത. etc. 2. with a. v.: to come to an end. മരം മുറിച്ചു തീര്‍ന്നാല്‍ TR. when the felling is over.
