H. paṭālan, A battalion, regiment, army — പട്ടാളക്കാര്‍ etc. പട്ടാളിച്ചുപോക No. (പട്ട) = പോളിച്ചുപോക paddy, greens, etc. over-grown on account of too much shadow or manure, having leaves only but no fruit, (comp. പട്ടെക്ക).

panasam S. Te. (C. palasu, T. പ ലാ). The breadfruit-tree = പിലാവു, f. i. ഏറിയ തെങ്ങും പ'ങ്ങളും മുറിക്കുന്നു TR.

piṭṭụ (C. Te. T. meal, Tdbh. of പിഷ്ടം) 1. A thin meal-cake, rice-bread. പപ്പടപ്പിട്ടു a batter B., തവിട്ടുപിട്ടു 438. 2. cheating, So. പി. കാ ട്ടുക V1. to threaten, പി. പറക to impose on. പിട്ടുകാരന്‍ a seller of rice-bread; a cheat, menacer.
