paṭṭi 1. (T. loose condition, prostitute, fr. പടു). Miserable, പട്ടിക്കുതിരകള്‍കൊണ്ടു വന്നു കെട്ടി Nal. vicious. പട്ടിമാടു useless cattle (abuse). 2. (T. പാട്ടി) a bitch ഊര്‍പട്ടി; dog in general ആണ്പടി Vl. കുരെക്കും പ. കടിയാ prov. (hence in So. the fem. പട്ടിച്ചി). 3. T. M. C. a fold for cattle, sheep. പട്ടികെട്ടുക (on the open field). ആട്ടിന്‍പട്ടി a sheep-pen on high pillars (Palg.); place where slaves stand to receive their hire. 4. Palg.
