puṇal (see പുനല്‍ & പുണരി) Water, a river നല്‍പ്പുണല്‍ക്കരത്തിട്ടമേല്‍ അരയന്ന ങ്ങള്‍ കളിക്കുന്നു KR. പുണലി Cal. a shell-fish in rivers = ഇളന്പക്ക.

p/?/šni S. (സ്പര്‍ശ്) Speckled (cow), N. pr. a class of /?/shis. പൃശ്നിഗര്‍ഭന്‍ S. K/?/šṇa, Bhg. (or വൃ.). പൃഷത്തു S. speckled; a drop.

paḍat/?/t/?/i So. A plantain tree, (പടര്‍കാ പടല്‍).

pūnduγa So. (fr. പൂഴു). To sink in the ground, വിശിഖം പൂന്തി ChS. പൂത്തു, കുഴിപ്പൂത്തു So. a grave. v. a. പൂത്തുക (പൂഴ്ത്തുക) 1. to press into ചവിട്ടിച്ചളി യില്‍ പൂത്തും MR. (a threat). മുട്ട എഴു തി നെല്ലില്‍ പൂ a kind of charm; suspected persons must take a certain egg out of a heap of rice, when the thief will be detected. ചക്രം എഴുതി ധനുമ്മേല്‍ പൂത്തേക്ക Mantr. തീയില്‍കൊണ്ട കായി പൂത്തി (to cook it). 2. to bury ശവം എത്ര ആഴം കുഴിച്ചിട്ടു പൂ ത്തിയതു jud. — also met. നേരിനേ പൂത്തു, ക ളവു പൂത്തു (vu. — ത്തി) പറഞ്ഞു = മറെച്ചു.
