pilpāḍu (T. pir̀pāḍu, പിന്‍). 1. The backside. പി.വാങ്ങാതേവെട്ടിത്തടുക്കയും Mud. backwards. 2. afterwards. പി. വന്നു Bhg. the latter state. പി. പിന്നേ വിചാരിക്കില്‍ Sah. പില്പെടുക = പിന്പെടുക, also പില്പെടുക്ക യുധി യോഗ്യമല്ലെടോ CC. to lag behind.

piḍuṇṇuγa T. M. (= പിടി). To pull out, extort, vex. പിടുക്കു T. M. the testicle (ഒട്ടകപ്പിടുക്കു No. Indian rubber), പീ. വീങ്ങുക rupture (Te. C. = പിണര്‍). പിടുപിടേ 1. the sound of flame crackling. 2. thick, stiff (പിടിപ്പു). പിടെക്ക, see പിട.

puḍava T. M. (Te. puṭṭam fr. C. Te. pora fold, aC. po/?/ke a garment, see prec.) 1. A woman's cloth of 8 — 10 cubits. ഇണ or അ ണപ്പു. double cloth. കറുത്ത ചേലമേല്പുടയായി ധരിത്തു Mantr. 2. an awning. പുടമുറി marriage by giving 10 or more clothes & cutting one in two, Sūdras' marriage നീലേശ്വരം മുതല്‍ തുറശ്ശേരി വരേ പു. ക്ക ല്യാണം Anach. കുഞ്ഞനെ പു'ച്ചും കൂട്ടിക്കൊ ണ്ടു വരിക (൩വണ്ടിന്നും ൧൬റിന്നും നാലു പാതി നല്ല പുട എടുത്തു) TP. marry her, പു. കഴിക്ക also അവന്‍ അവളെ പുടവ മു റിച്ചു No. പുടയുട cloth നടുവും അപ്പുടവുടകളും KR. പുടവക്കിഴങ്ങു Clematis comosa. പുടവനാടു N. pr. പു'൦ കവെനാടും now in Canara, belonged once to Chiracal.
