payimba No. (So. T. പൈ, Tu. pasambe, C. pasube) A bag, sack പണ്ടാരം ഇട്ട പ. ക്കെട്ടം ഉറങ്ങാതേ കാത്തു കൊള്‍വിന്‍ Pay.; പയി ന്പെരെ മേലും ചോര കണ്ടു (jud. Mpl.). ഈ പ. യുടെ ഭാഗ്യം (womb) says an unhappy mother.

pambaram T. M. (പന്പുക T. to be urged, rise, Te. to send). A top for play made of അടക്ക, (& wood); പ. ആടുക, കളിക്ക, തിരി ക്ക (ചുററുക). നല്ല പ. പന്തുകള്‍ KR., പന്പര ക്കളി കണ്ടു Bhr., പന്പരംഏറു V2. (No. = ലട്ടു).

pa/?/ukka T. M. C. (Te. paṇḍu) 1. To grow old, ripe, പത്രം പ. Bhr.; പഴുത്ത പഴം ripe fruit, കുല പഴുക്കുന്പോള്‍ സങ്ക്രാന്തി, പഴു ക്കാന്‍ മൂത്താല്‍ പറിക്ക prov.; പ. വെക്ക to put fruits in straw (= പഴുപ്പിക്ക). 2. to become well tempered, red-hot. പ. ച്ചുടുക to roast well, എരിയുന്ന തീയില്‍ പഴുത്ത നാരാചം KR. 3. to suppurate പുണ്‍ പഴുക്കില്‍ MM. 4. to decay. പഴുത്തില a dried leaf, ദേഹം പഴു ത്തു പോയീടും KR. = പഴകി. പഴുത്തില hon. for betel, when Nāyars speak to Brahmans, Tīyars to Nāyars, etc. (see 4). VN. പഴുപ്പു 1. ripening of fruit, blighting of corn. പ. ചെന്നതു V2. overripe. 2. becoming tender, red-hot. മുഖം പ. thrush (S. മു ഖ പാകം). മനസ്സിന്‍റെ പ. V1. contrition. CV. പഴുപ്പിക്ക 1. to ripen artificially as പഴം, to heat as ഇരിന്പു, to accustom, inure. 2. മുഖം പഴുപ്പിക്ക No. actors personating women having their faces dyed with red arsenic (see മനയോല under മനം). പഴുപഴുക്ക to be discoloured; പ'പ്പു yellowness of face V1. II.

pakti S. (പചിക്ക) Cooking = പാകം. പക്വം S. 1. cooked, ripe (opp. ആമം). വില്വ പ. ഉപയോജിക്ക VilvP. = പഴം, കദളിപ ക്വങ്ങള്‍ Mud. fruits. താലപ. Nāyars — obsc.) പക്വത (= പാകം). 1. maturity; perfection, solidity ബുദ്ധിക്കു പ. വരിക KR; ഇതറികി ലോ മിക്കതുമറിവുണ്ടാം പ. യുള്ളവനു VCh. 2. opportunity, fitness. പക്വാശയം the lower stomach, Duodenum; (opp. ആമാശയം).

peruγuγa (പെരു). T. M. v. n. To grow large, be multiplied ഇണ്ടല്‍ പെരുകീ ടുന്നു വ്യാധി കൊണ്ടു Anj. കുടി പെരുകുവിന്‍ Genov. — (Inf. പെരിക q. v.) VN. I. പെരുക്കം 1. largeness, size നിലത്തി ന്‍റെ പെ'ത്തിന്‍റെ അവസ്ഥ വിചാരിച്ചു കോല്ക്ക് ൬൧൧ പെ'ത്തിന്നുള്ള സ്ഥലം; ൦രം ൬൧൧ പെ'ത്തിന്‍റെ സ്ഥലം MR. — ഒരു കോലിനു ൨൪ പെരുക്കം palg. i.e. വിരല്‍ 2. multiplication, repetition പെരുക്കം കോല്‍ etc. a cubic Cōl. panaṭṭnγa (T. പിനററുക). To cackle as a hen, B. പനന്പു = പരന്പു V2., hence പനന്പുവള്ളി Wild rattan, Flagellaria Indica, Rh.

peṭṭu 1. adv. part. (പെടുക). Getting into a direction, towards കീഴപെട്ടു തല്ലുവാന്‍ ഓങ്ങി യ നേരത്തു മേല്പെട്ടു പോയതു CG.; often വട്ടു, ഓട്ടു & treated as a noun, f. i. തെക്കോട്ടേക്ക് ഒഴുകും Bhg. 2. പെട്ടെന്നു പെട്ടന്നു suddenly, unexpectedly: either like the sound of having fallen, or from C. Te. Tu. പെട്ടു a blow, slap (in T. വെട്ടന violently).
