paḍam 5. (& S. √ പടുക) 1. Fine cloth, spread cloth, sheet കരിന്പ., വിരിപ്പു., മുല പ്പ., ആനപ്പ., etc.; ഇരിക്കുന്ന പ. a carpet. 2. chequered cloth, (പ. വരെക്ക to make squares as of a chessboard) — a picture = ചിത്രപ്പടം, f. i. യമപടം Mud. a picture representing Hades. 3. Tdbh. സ്ഫടം, ഫണം expanded hood of a snake പ. വിരിക്ക, താഴ്ത്തുക; also met. വെള്ളി കൊണ്ടുള്ള പാന്പിന്‍ പ. MR. an idol's ornament. ഒററപ്പടമുള്ളവന്‍, (opp. ഇരുതലക്കുഴലി) V2. — പ. കഴിക്ക a snake to cast the skin. 4. the flat part of the hand or foot. പടത്തില്‍ ഓരടി slap. കൈപ്പടത്തെത്തിരിച്ചു Nid.
