H. paṭālan, A battalion, regiment, army — പട്ടാളക്കാര്‍ etc. പട്ടാളിച്ചുപോക No. (പട്ട) = പോളിച്ചുപോക paddy, greens, etc. over-grown on account of too much shadow or manure, having leaves only but no fruit, (comp. പട്ടെക്ക).

purā S. Formerly. കാലം കഴിഞ്ഞു പുരാ Bhr. that time is already gone. പുരാകൃതദുരി തം KR. once committed. പുരാണം 1. former, long ago. നാം പു'മേ നട ക്കുന്നു MR. we exercise this right from times immemorial. നമുക്കു പു'മായിട്ട ജന്മം TR. 2. old history കോലസ്വരൂപവും ചുഴലി സ്വരൂപവുമായി നടന്നു വന്ന പു. ഗ്രഹിച്ചാല്‍ TR.
