mayir̀ T. M. (C. നവിര്‍, fr. മയി). 1. Hair മ. കളയെല്ലാം a. med. as part of diet. പിറപ്പു മ. = പി. മുടി; rather aM. പുളകം ഏലും മ. RC. = മയിര്‍ക്കൂച്ചു, കോള്‍മ. horripilation. 2. (obsc.) crines pudendi, മയിരം Vl. മയിര്‍കുണ്ണ 260 — മയിരന്‍ m., — രിച്ചി f.; ൦രം മയിരന്മാര്‍ good for nothing (obsc.) 3. (loc.) semen. മയിര്‍പ്പടം B. woollen cloth. മയിര്‍പ്പടി Orris root, root of sweet flag (ഭൂത കേശം S.). മയിര്‍പ്പട്ടം a trinket worn on the head. മയിര്‍വാള്‍ a double-edged razor (also മ. ക്ക ത്തി); hence നിശിതമായ മയിര്‍വാളന്പു (എ ടുത്തു) Bhr. a kind of arrow sharp as a razor.

maδi. (മന്‍). 1. The mind; in Cpds. minded as ദുര്‍മ്മ., ക്രൂരമതികള്‍, നഷ്ടമതികള്‍ Sah. 2. understanding ഞാന്‍ ബുദ്ധിക്കു മതി പോരാ തേ ഉള്ളവന്‍; opinion, inclination ക്രൂരയായ മതി KR. (fem). 3. estimation. നിന്‍റെ മതിയും കൊതിയും കെടുവോളത്തിന്നു തിന്നുക satisfy thy appetite; taxes, esp. port dues V1. ഇറ ക്കുമ., ഏററുമ., കുത്തുമതി. f. i. അത്ര വെച്ചു ക ണ്ടാലും മതി പോരും KU.
