(loc.) semen. മയിര്‍പ്പടം B. woollen cloth. മയിര്‍പ്പടി Orris root, root of sweet flag (ഭൂത കേശം S.). മയിര്‍പ്പട്ടം a trinket worn on the head. മയിര്‍വാള്‍ a double-edged razor (also മ. ക്ക ത്തി); hence നിശിതമായ മയിര്‍വാളന്പു (എ ടുത്തു) Bhr. a kind of arrow sharp as a razor.

muram 5. (= മുറുമുറ, മുഴ). Roughness, rugged nature? മു. കൊള്‍ വിദ്യാധരര്‍, മു. മുഴങ്കഴല്‍, മു. കിളര്‍ കപികള്‍കോന്‍ RC. — മുന്നൂറു മുരന്തീയ രും, മുരങ്കള large & strong (song); No. മുരം നടത്തം, (— ക്കാരന്‍) quick & much, so with കളി, ചിരി, കരച്ചല്‍ പേടി = വളരേ. മുരത്തകാള a huge bullock. മുരങ്കല്ലു very strong ground. മുരങ്കളവു a daring lie; cock & bull-story. മുരങ്കള്ളന്‍ a thorough thief. മുരന്നെല്ലിക്ക = മുതുനെല്ലിക്ക prov. മുരം വിടക്കു very bad, worse. മുരം ശാഠ്യം intense obstinacy. മുരാള്‍? maṇi S. (fr. മണല്‍?, മണ്‍). 1. A bead, grain നെന്മ., എണ്മ., കുണ്മ., കൃഷ്ണമ. etc. മണി പിടിക്ക to granulate. മ. ആക്ക to thresh. 2. a gem, pearl നവമണികള്‍ കൊ ണ്ടണിഞ്ഞു KR. = രത്നം; of different jewels ചാ പത്തിന്‍ മണി തന്‍ നിനാദം AR.; fig. അരക്കര ്‍മ. KR. the best of Rākšasas, Rāvaṇa. പെ ണ്മണിയാള്‍ Bhg. 3. gem-like, grain-like, as wattles on the throat of sheep; glans of penis, നിരുദ്ധമ. Nid. a kind of impotency. 4. little bells, worn as jewels മ. കിലുക്കുക; hence also Brahman's bell (an āchāram ഘണ്ടം S.), a gong ആനെക്കു മ. കെട്ടുക prov. മ. ഇളക്കുക, കിലുക്കു ക to ring a bell. മുട്ടുക, തട്ടുക, കൊട്ടുക to strike a bell. നാഴികമ. V1. a clock. 5. hour by the bell എത്ര മ. യായി 8 മണി. (mod.). മണികാരന്‍ S. 1. a jeweller. 2. So. = മണെ കാരന്‍ a revenue officer.
