mala 5. (മല്‍). 1. A mountain, higher than കുന്നു f. i. മാമലHimālaya & Mēru, Bhg. തിരു വില്വമാമല. 2. raised land, hill-land (= മ ലനാടു, മലയം); in N. pr. f. i. മലപ്പുറം. 3. that which lives or is found in mountains മലയാടു, മലഞ്ചേരട്ട, മലയിഞ്ചി etc. (see Cpds.). മലക്കം (T. shaking) standing upright & bending the head backwards, B.; a kind of ചാ ട്ടം or മറിച്ചല്‍ No. മലക്കാരി a deity of Kur̀ichiars. മലങ്ക Malayāḷam KU. മലങ്കരു a rivulet (doc.) മലങ്കറി vegetables. മലങ്കിളി, മലന്തത്ത a small parrot V1. māri 1. S. (f. of മാരന്‍). A Bhagavati മാരി യമ്മ, മാറമ്മ, മാലിയമ്മ. 2. a plague, esp. smallpox ജനങ്ങളുടെ അതിക്രമംപോലേ തന്നേ നാട്ടില്‍ മാരിയും ചൂരിയും വരുന്നു vu. മാരിക്കു രുപ്പു 269. 3. T. Te. Tu. mel 5. (Tdbh. = മൃദു, മെതു). Tender, slender മെല്ലിട കണ്ടു, മെല്ലിടയാള്‍, മിന്നും പതറീടും മെല്ലിടമാര്‍ RC. മെലിയുക T. M. To grow thin, lean ശരീരം പെരിക മെലിയും a med. ചിന്തിച്ചുടല്‍ മെലി ക ChVr. മെലിഞ്ഞു പോയി emaciated.

mūḍụ 1. (fr. മുടു under മുടം). The bottom f. i. of a dish ഇളനീരിന്‍റെ മൂടു കൊത്തുക (= കണ്ണു ള്ള ഭാഗം, al. = ആണ്മുറി). മുണ്ടിന്‍ മൂടരിഞ്ഞു KU. (the cloth-end holding rice). കാച്ചപാല്‍ ചേര്‍ന്നു ള്ള ഭാജനത്തിന്‍ മൂട്ടില്‍ കോല്‍ CG. മലമൂട്ടില്‍ SiPu. കാട്ടിന്നു മൂട്ടില്‍ ചാടി CG. the thick of the jungle. തലയുടെ മൂ. the cranium with the brain. കൂട്ടിന്‍ മൂട്ടില്‍ മുളെച്ചു പൊങ്ങിയെഴും മുന്നാഡി Brhmd. the posteriors as base of the three Nāḍi. മൂട്ടി. കുരുവും വീട്ടില്‍ കടവും ആക prov. = ആസനം. 2. muči (T. the crown of the head). The face, hence മുകം തിരിഞ്ഞ മൊച്ചിങ്ങ KU. a young cocoa-nut. (comp. മെച്ചിങ്ങ). മുച്ചിയര്‍ 5. (മുച്ചു C. Tu. cover = മൂടി) sheath-makers, stationers.
