vakka So. (വക്കു 2). A large elephant-rope. വ. യിട്ടു പിടിക്ക MC. used in catching wild elephants, dragging timber. വക്കത്താഴന്പു scar on the trunk of elephants by its friction.

vēli 1. T. M. C. Tu. (Te. velugu fr. വെളി). višu S. (ദ്വിഷു? G. 'isos). 1. Equipoised 2. equinox, chiefly the feast of vernal equinox (see ഓണം). മേഷസങ്ക്രാന്തി വിഷുപുണ്യകാ ലം, തുലാസങ്ക്രാന്തിവിഷുവല്‍പുണ്യകാലം TrP. 1st of Mēḍam = 10th April. വിഷുവില്‍ പിന്നേ വേനല്‍ ഇല്ല prov. ഓണവും വിഷുവും വരാതേ പോകട്ടേ old prov.
