tukkuγa (T.to eat) = ഇരന്നു ന ടക്ക. A beggar is called തുക്കി or തുക്കിപ്പെറു ക്കി (loc.); പെറുക്കിത്തുക്കിനായി (No., abuse).

M. Te. C. (peggu & heraku to chooBe, Tu. peǰe, T. por̀ukku). 1. To pick up, take up one by one, as എരുന്തു MR., fire-wood, stones for a sling, to glean fruits, അരിമണി Bhr. തൂകുന്പോള്‍ പെറുക്കേണ്ട prov. don't spare. വിരകിട്ടു തീയും പെറുക്കി അങ്ങതില്‍ വറട്ടി KR. (al. പെരുക്കി.) — met. അവന്‍ പെറുക്കിപ്പോയി has become a gleaner, beggar. bhikša S. (desid. of ഭജ്). 1. Begging ഭിക്ഷെക്കു പോക; ശത്രുവിന്‍റെ ഭവനത്തില്‍ ഭി ക്ഷെക്കു ചെല്ലും VyM.
