āmam. S. 1.(G. 'ōmos) Raw, undressed, undigested. ആമാശയം stomach (opp. പക്വാ ശയം). 2. sickness, chiefly slimy stools. ആ മജ്വരം diarrhœa with fever. 3. M. stocks for hands & feet തടുത്തു കൊണ്ടുപോയി ആമ ത്തില്‍ ഇട്ടു TR. (= തോളം).

kva. (കു) Where? — ക്വചില്‍ somewhere, ന ക്വചില്‍ in no ease. — ക്വാപി anywhere. ക്വാപി കണ്ടില്ല Nal.

kvaṇam S. The sound of a boll, വീണ etc.

kvathanam S. Boiling. ക്വാഥം = കഷായം med. decoction.

ču/?/i T. M. (C. സുളി, Te. സുഡി) 1. A whirl — നീര്‍ച്ചുഴി a whirlpool. ഘോരമാം ചുഴി കളും Bhg. 2. circle; മറുച്ചുഴി round hairy spots; a curl. 3. = ചുഴിക്കുററി V1. hinge or pivot of a door (see below). ചുഴിക V1. the 4 principal beams, that rest on the corners of the house & support the roof (better ചൂ —). ചുഴിക്കുററി (3) No. = ഉരക്കുററി a post with a cavity, buried in the ground, to receive the lower tendon of a door. n. v. ചുഴിയുക 1.
