ābharaṇam S. (ഭര്‍) Decoration, ornaments. മെയ്യാഭരണം, നവ നല്ലാഭരണങ്ങള്‍ RC. originally they were forbidden in Kēraḷa; the most common are now: തോള്വള bracelet, കടകം wrist-ring, നൊറിപ്പട്ടം frontlet, ശിഖാ മണി hairpin, കാതില or കുണ്ഡലം or കുണുക്ക ear-ring, മൂക്കുത്തി nose-ring, മാല necklace, ഊ ര്‍മ്മിക finger-ring, തള ankle-ring.

āyattam S. (യല്‍) Dependant, tractable = ആധീനം; ആയത്തപ്പെടുക to be ready. (In So. ആസ്ഥപ്പാടു = ഒരുന്പടു V1.). Kings are described as സ്വായത്തസിദ്ധികള്‍ or സചിവാ യത്തസിദ്ധികള്‍ Mud. acting on their own conviction or on that of a minister.

āryam S.(അര്യ Ved. faithful, or √ അര്‍ ploughman) 1.
