paṭhikka S. (see പടിക്ക). v. a. To recite, as മന്ത്രം; to read, learn പഠനം, പാഠം. പഠിത്വം learning. പ. തികഞ്ഞവന്‍ V1. who has finished his studies. പ. തിരക to examine V1. CV. പഠിപ്പിക്ക to teach. നാലര്‍ക്കും ഓരോവേദം പ'ച്ചു Bhr., പലതും ഞാന്‍ ഇവനു പ'പ്പേന്‍ KR.

pēṇ (Te. pēḍu splinter, see പെളി). pēna (Gond. penk fr. പേ? penates V1.) 1. A ghost, spirit അമ്മ മരിച്ചു പേനയായി കൂ ടി TP. പേന കൂടി the cause of children's illness f. i. കൊതിപ്പേന കൂടിയിരിക്കുന്നു said of infants that wish for every thing. The malady is cured by an offering in the chamber of the ancestors പേനെക്കു കൊടുക്ക. 2. a miser of the worst description.

pēǹ T. Te. C. M. A louse, the black kind ൦രംരും പേനും; തലപ്പേന്‍ & ശീലപ്പേന്‍ etc. പേന്പിടി Vl. see പെണ്‍പടി. പേന്പിണി (fr. പേ?) in പേച്ചി തന്‍ പേന്പി ണിപോക്കുവാന്‍ CG. to render that fiend's poison ineffective. പേയി T. see പേ A demon.

vipraǹ S. (വിപ്). Inspired, a poet, Brahman വിപ്രജാതിയില്‍ വളര്‍ന്നു, ശോഭിക്കുന്ന വിപ്രേശ്വരന്മാര്‍ KU. വിപേന്ദ്രന്മാര്‍ AR. വി പ്രശാപം Nid. വിപ്രത CG. Brahmanity; also വിപ്രത്വം ല ഭിച്ചു Bhg., പ്രാപിച്ചു Brhmd. (Višvāmitra). (വി) വിപ്രമാണപരിചായി ചൊല്ലും കടം VyM. without documentary proof.

šīla & ചീ — (C. Tu. ശീര). 1. Cloth, strip of cloth, covering of the privities. ശീലപ്പേന്‍ a body louse. രണ്ടു ചട്ടിയുടെ വിളന്പിന്നും ശീ ല ചെയ്ക a. med. to wrap with cloth covered with mud. 2. a bag, purse മടിശ്ശീല. ശീലക്കാശു a fee paid by the lessee to the proprietor upon renewal of the lease (prh. fr. ശീലം) W. ൧൨ll ഉറുപ്പിക ശീ. ൦ ൧൫ഠ കൊ ഴുക്കാണവും കൊടുത്തു തിരുവെഴുത്തു വാ ങ്ങി MR. ശീലപ്പൊടി (1) (esp. med.) powder sifted through a cloth.

sādhikka S. 1. v. a. To accomplish, achieve; gain an object കാശ്യാം മരിപ്പവന്‍ മുക്തി സാ' ക്കുന്നു SitVij. ആദിത്യന്‍ ഓരാണ്ടുള്ള ഗതിയെ മാസംകൊണ്ടു സാ'ക്കുന്നിതു ചന്രന്‍ Bhg. മാനുഷജനങ്ങള്‍്ക്കേ മോക്ഷത്തെ സാ. ാവു Bhg. 2. to prove എന്നു സാ'ച്ചു; also to bury a corpse V1. 3. v. n. to be brought about, succeed ആരംഭിച്ചതു സ൪വ്വം സാ'ക്കും അവ൪ക്കു SiPu. രണ്ടും സാധിക്കും നിനക്കു KR. you will have your wishes. വിദ്യയും ആയുധങ്ങളും അവ൪ക്കു സാധിച്ചു Bhr. mastered. സാധിച്ചു പോന്നിതു കാ൪യ്യം Bhg. ഇപ്പോള്‍ കെട്ടിച്ചു തരു വാന്‍ സാ. യില്ല, മുതല്‍ ബോധിപ്പിപ്പാന്‍ സാ' ക്കും TR. can. നമ്മാല്‍ സാ' ക്കുന്ന പ്രയത്നം TR. as much as I can do. സാധിതം S. (part. pass.) realized, സാ'മായി നിന്‍െറ കാ൪യ്യം KR. CV. സാധിപ്പിക്ക to obtain the accomplishment. എല്ലാമേ സാ'പ്പേന്‍ AR. I shall effect it (for thee). എന്‍മനോരഥം സാ. DM. to grant, execute.
