kuṭṭi (see കുട്ട, കുട്ടന്‍) = കുഞ്ഞു 1. The young of any animal; child, chiefly girl; a Paṭṭar boy. (in comp. N. pr. ചെക്കൂട്ടി, വാപ്പൂട്ടി, രാമോട്ടി = രാമക്കുട്ടി). 2. small & moveable, as pupil of eye, അമ്മിക്കുട്ടി, കട്ടാക്കുട്ടി etc. കുട്ടിക്കരണം കുത്തുക So. to tumble heels over head. കുട്ടിക്കഴുക്കോല്‍ jack-rafter. കുട്ടിച്ചാത്തന്‍‍ N. pr. a jungle Deity. കുട്ടിച്ചുവര്‍ B. wall in ruins. കുട്ടിമാര്‍ഗ്ഗം (Rom.) baptism. കുട്ടിയിടുക 1. to bring forth young. 2. to cork, stop a leak. കുട്ടിയൂണ്‍ & കുഞ്ഞനൂണ്‍ first meal of a child in the 6th month. കുട്ടിസ്രാങ്കു (കുട്ടിത്രാവു MC.) a sloth. see തേവാങ്കം. കുട്ടീശ്വരം (= കുട്ടിച്ചുവര്‍) B. ruins.

kuttaγa T. M. (C. Tu. Te. H. ഗുത്ത) Farm, contract, as for liquor, honey, wax; monopoly (also കുത്തുമതി q. v.). ചാരായക്കു. still & arrack shop. മരക്കുത്തകക്കണക്കു TR. timber contract. കടവുകീഴ്ക്കുത്തക ഏററു നടക്കുന്നു MR. an under-farmer (opp. മേല്ക്കുത്തകക്കാരന്‍ the contractor).
