čāṇ T.M. (C.Te. ജാണ, ജേണ; C. Tu. ഗേണ്‍) 1. (see ചൊട്ട ച്ചാണ്‍ opp. നെടുഞ്ചാ. which is = 12 വിരല്‍). 2. V1. ശാണ്‍ a fish. ചാണ്‍പദം(&ചാന്പ —) the measure of a span ചാ. നീങ്ങാതെ, ചാ. പോലും നടന്നുതില്ലേ CG.

čuṇa T. M. So. The down on a fruit; sensitiveness; activity. — ചുണകെട്ടവന്‍ one past shame. — ചുണയന്‍ touchy, distrustful V1. ചുണെക്ക So. to have the skin irritated, to be touchy (= വെറുളുക V2.)
