čuṭṭi T. M. (ചുട്ടു) 1. Mark or jewel on the forehead. ചു. കുത്തുക to paint the face, So. rather ചൊട്ടി. 2. (C. Tu. സുട്ടി) smartness, quickness വാക്കിന്നു നല്ല ചുട്ടി ഉണ്ടു. ചുട്ടു T. aM. pointing out = ചൂണ്ടുക; natural mark on the skin f.i. of cows, children പാണ്ടുകള്‍ ചുട്ടുകളും Bhg 10.

čaraḍụ (S. സരം, സരില്‍) T. M. String, esp. nuptial, ചരടററവള്‍ a widow (ചരടു വാ ങ്ങിയവള്‍ V1., ച. പറിച്ച സ്ത്രീ B.). പെണ്ണു ങ്ങള്‍ കഴുത്തു കെട്ടുന്ന എണ്ണച്ചരടു TR.—bowstring, see കൈച്ച., also ചവളം ചരട്ടുകുന്ത ങ്ങളും SitVij. lances thrown & recovered by a string. യന്ത്രതോരണച്ച. čhē/?/am S. (ഛിദ്) 1. Cut, division; loss, ruin (ചേതം), as സ്നേഹഛേദം. 2. (arith.) denominator. സമഛേദങ്ങളാക്കി Gan.reduced fractions to the same denominator.
