tālparyam S. (തല്പര) 1. Having in view, aiming at; design, object, ഈ പദ ത്തിന്‍റെ താ. ആവിതു the meaning. തത്വജ്ഞാ നത്തിന്‍ താ. Bhr. 2. earnest purpose, diligent effort, കാണേണം എന്നു വളരേ താ. ആ കുന്നു TR. താല്‍പര്യപ്പെടുക to purpose, endeavour. മക്ക ള്‍ മാത്രം കൊടുക്കേണം എന്നു താ'ട്ടു wished particularly. ചെയ്വാന്‍ താ'ട്ടു MR. (mod.), അ തിനു ഏറത്താ'ടുന്നില്ല to like.

taša T. aM. = തക, ദശ Proud flesh. തചെ ക്കും അതു തേക്ക a. med.

Tāmūδiri, vu. താമൂരി 'Samorin' Tdbh., സാമുദ്രി, (see കന്നല & ആല്‍ III.) the sea-king or ruler of Calicut. താമൂരിപ്പാട്ടില്‍ the ruling king. താ'ട്ടില്‍ തന്പു രാനെച്ചെന്നു തൊഴുതു TR.; താ'ട്ടുന്നു തീ പ്പെട്ടാല്‍ KU.

tōṇi Tdbh., ദ്രോണി 1. A trough, bathing tub. 2. aboat തോ. മറിഞ്ഞാല്‍ പുറം നല്ലു, ഇ രുതോണിയില്‍ കാല്‍ വെച്ചാല്‍ prov.; a sea-boat കടലില്‍ പെരുമാറുന്ന തോണി ഓടംവക MR. (taxed); a ferry-boat തോണി കടത്തുക KN. (work of Muγyar). യമുനയില്‍ തോണി കളിച്ചു SiPu. went boating. — തോണിക്കാരന്‍, — ക്കൂലി, — പ്പുര etc.

tarassụ S. (തരണം) Speed, energy. — തരസാ speedily. (po.).

tū T. M. (തുയ്യ) Pure, bright (Tu. fire), as തുനഖങ്ങള്‍, തൂനെററി, തൂമന്ദഹാസം, ഓമ നത്തൂമുഖം, തുമിന്നല്‍, തൂമുത്തുലാവിന കൊങ്ക, പാലാഴിത്തൂവെള്ളം CG. etc. — VN. തൂമ q. v.

tāḷam S. (തലം or തഡ?) 1. Clapping of hands. 2. beating time. താ. ചവിട്ടുക with the feet, otherwise താ. പിടിക്ക; musical time താ. വരുന്പോള്‍ സ്വരം വരാ prov. താളത്തില്‍ ഒ ത്തി CG. danced measuredly. നൃത്തത്തിന്നൊത്ത താ'ത്തില്‍ വാദ്യങ്ങള്‍ കൊട്ടി Bhg. താ'ത്തില്‍ കളിപ്പിക്ക nicely, regularly. താ'ത്തില്‍ പിഴെ ച്ചതു പാവെക്കു Nasr. fell out of time. Hence: താള N. pr. of women. താളക്കാരന്‍ (3) a cymbal player. താളക്കൂട്ടം a pair of cymbals; താ'ട്ടക്കാര്‍ KN. താളക്കേടു 1. missing time in music, താ'ടാ യി പാവ കളിപ്പിച്ചു Nasr. unharmoniously. 2. doing things out of their place, disappointment. താളജ്ഞന്‍ VyM. = a bandmaster.
