tuńǰuγa 1. T. So. To be entangled, to sleep, die. 2. to remain, as money in the pocket, തന്പിമാര്‍ ൫ പേര്‍ തുഞ്ചിനാര്‍ Bhr. (=തഞ്ചുക). തുഞ്ചാരം No. balance, f.i. 5 ഉറുപ്പികയോളം തു. ഉണ്ടു.

tanayaǹ S. (extending the family) A son. ജനകനോടു തുല്യം ത. ChVr. — തനയ a daughter. തനാസ്സ് Port, tenaz. Pinoers, tweezers.

tuṭṭụ T. M. (C. Te. Tu. ദുഡ്ഡു, fr. C. Tu. ദുഡു to acquire wealth). A copper coin = 20 cash or ½ pice. അകലേ പോന്നവനെ അരികേ വിളി ച്ചാല്‍ അരക്കാത്തുട്ടു ചേതം prov. തുട്ടുഉറുപ്പ്യ TR. a Rupee, worth 360 Reas in 1799. തുട്ടി SoM. a fine (on wages or salary).

trēδa S. (ത്രി). A triad, ത്രേതായുഗം the 2nd age of the world. ത്രേസ്സ് (Port. tres = 3?) A fraction of Reas, prh. 1/12 or = 1 കവിടി, f. i. ൩വൃ ഉറുപ്പികയും ൩൩ റേസ്സും ൩ ത്രേസ്സും TR. (1796).

tumbuγa T. M. & തുമ്മുക Te. T. m. To sneeze, പശുതുന്പും പോഴും പോകരുതു KU. (bad omen). പൊന്നു തു'ന്ന കുതിര (a story). തു ന്പിയ നേരം മനുവിനുണ്ടായി ഒരു നന്ദനന്‍ Bhg. — Hence തുന്പി.

(തടവു) what is broad, wide, as garden-bed (ത. കെട്ടിക്ക Arb.), a basin round a tree to hold water (തടം ഇടുക; കൈ പ്പത്തടത്തില്‍, അവരത്തടത്തില്‍ തവള നില്ക്ക ട്ടേ prov.); the lair of wild animals പന്നി തട ത്തുനിന്നിളകി TP. — hence കവിള്‍ത്തടം cheek, കണ്ണിന്‍റെ ത. eye-socket (ക. തടവും വളരെ വീങ്ങി MR.), നെററിത്തടം, തേര്‍ത്തടം = തട്ടു etc. 4. size, circumference കഴുത്തു, കൈ, ൪ വിര ല്ക്കു ത. ചുരുക്കി TP. — തടം പിടിക്ക to measure. Hence: തടങ്കണ്‍ a large eye കരുന്ത., നളിന ത. മന്നന്‍, ത. ഇടപ്പെടത്തുറന്നു നോക്കി RC. stared with wide open eye. തടങ്കൈ RC. a large hand. തടങ്കൊങ്ക full breast, മല്ലത്ത. CG. തടന്തല്ലുക B. to embarrass, perplex (to beat the shore, as waves?). തടന്തിരള്‍തോളന്‍ RC. broad-chested. തടമാട്ടം a cheek. ത'ത്തില്‍ അടയാളം കാട്ടുക to blush (loc.). തടമുല full breast, & തടവന്‍മുല CG. തടവയറന്‍ (see under തട).
