Tu. ദിണ്‍; prh. √ formed from തിടം, ദൃഢം) Firm, strong, stiff, solid. തിണ്കരം RC. a stout hand. തിണ്‍പ ട, തിണ്‍പുകഴ്ചേര്‍ ഇരാവണി, തിണ്ടേര്‍വരു ത്തും നല്ല സൂതന്‍ (= തിണ്‍ തേര്‍), കുരുതിത്തി ണ്കളി കണ്ടു RC. (in the wounded) — തിണ്‍ തുട CG. a stout thigh. തിണ്ണ (in No. also തിണ) T. M. C. (C. Esp. neg. തേന്പാത കാന്തിലകലര്‍ന്നുള്ളൊരാണ്‍പൈതല്‍ ഉ ണ്ടാം, താംബൂലത്തിന്‍ തേന്പാതേനിന്ന രസം, തേന്പാതേ നിന്നുള്ള തിങ്കള്‍ CG. = not waning. തേന്പാതേ ചാടും resolutely? 2. Palg. മണ്ണു തേന്പുക to fill up crevices & broken down plaster (of a wall). തേന്പാവു (തേന്‍?) a timber tree B. തേയാന്തിരിയായി പോക TP. = ദേശാ —. തേയില Port., Dutch. Tea = ചാ.

toḷuttụ (T. So. also തൊഴുവം, fr. തൊഴു 3., C. തുളി & Te. tor̀r̀u, cattle) A stable, sheepfold, shed for goats, etc. നായരുടെ തൊ ഴുത്തില്‍നിന്നു കളവുപോയ മൂരി MR.

tīkšṇam S. (= തിഗ്മം) Sharp. തീക്ഷ്ണ ഖള്‍ഗം PT.; തീക്ഷണവിജ്ഞാനാസിനാ ഛേദിക്ക Bhg.; തീ'നായുള്ള മൌര്യന്‍ Mud.; തീ'മാം തേജ സ്സോടും Bhr. തീക്ഷ്ണദണ്ഡന്‍ AR. a severe master. തീക്ഷ്ണരസം saltpetre, Mud. — Also തീക്ഷണം (as തീക്ഷണഗന്ധങ്ങളാം വില്വം Nal.; തീ' മായുള്ള കത്തിയെ നക്കുന്നു, തീ'മാകും വണ്ണം ശോഭിക്കും KR.) as it were 'quick like fire'.

tuḍa (T. Te. Tu. C. തൊട, fr. തൊടുക). 1. Connexion, as of an arrow with a bow, അ ന്പു തുടവിടുന്നേരത്തു KR.; തുടവിടാതവണ്ണം RC. uninterruptedly. തുടവിടാത തുരഗങ്ങള്‍ വാരണ ങ്ങളും RC. a continuous line of. 2. the thigh. തൃത്തുടപ്പൊട്ടി KU. a Paradēvata, Shāstā. തുട ക്കാന്പു inner part of the thigh. തുടവാ൪പ്പു, തുട വാള്‍ an ulcer on it. പോരടുത്ത സമയേ തുട തുള്ളും ChVr. (an omen). തുടയില്‍ വെക്ക = കട ക്കാല്‍ obsc. അടി തുട ഇടല്ലാത്ത വസ്തു V1. having neither head nor tail. 3. time, turn. ഇരിപ ത്തൊരു തുട വധിച്ചു Bhr. in 21 engagements = വട്ടം; also ഇത്തുടേ V1. this time. തുടക്കാരം (1) connexion, contact. തു. തീ൪ക്ക to sever what lies close together. തുടപ്പന loc. = ൦രംന്തു Cycas.
