M. = തുളു f. i. തുളുവനാട്ടു ഭാഗത്തില്‍ TR. — തുളുവന്‍ a Tuḷu-man. തുളുവരശായിട്ടുള്ള രാജാവു KU. the first is called മയൂരവര്‍മ്മര്‍ or കവിസിംഹരേറു; under him are 5 പ്രഭുക്കന്മാര്‍: (1. വങ്കര്‍ or പരന്പര്‍ in Nandāvara. 2. അജിലര്‍ in Muḷukki. 3. സ വിട്ടര്‍ in Mūḍabidri. 4. സാമന്തര്‍ or ചാ വന്തര്‍ in Kārkaḷa. 5. മുള്ളര്‍ or കവി in Kalyāṇapuram). കവി 222.

tuḷasi S. (√ prec?) Holy basil, Ocymum sanctum GP 62. തുളസിച്ചോറു a. med. It serves, with Darbha-grass, for the funeral ceremonies of Brahmans. തു. മുതലായ അച്ചനാ പുഷ്പങ്ങള്‍ TR. — തുളസീദളവര്‍ഷവും കാണായി KumK. (from heaven). Kinds: കാട്ടുതു. Ocyraum adscendens, കര്‍പ്പൂര —, കൃഷ്ണ —, വെണ്‍ —, രാമ —, പെരുന്തു. Oc. polystachium, ശിവതു. Oc. tenuiflorum. തുളസീഭൂപന്‍ KM. the Tuḷu Rāja, (see തുളു). തുളസ്സല്‍ No. a kind of rice (middling).
