P.taṇg (C. Tu. ടംഗു & ത.) Girth of a horse. തങ്കെയം No. vu. = സങ്കേതം. തങ്കേതം = സ. f. i. തളിയും തങ്കേതവും KU.

taḍuppụ (C. Te. chiefly wet cloth, C. ദഡുപ്പു suit of clothes) Foreign cloth, as worn by Māppiḷḷachis, (of മാതിരിപ്പാടു).

teruḷaγa T. To acquire clear perception (= തെരി). തെരുണ്ട പെണ്‍ = തിരണ്ട q. v. — Hence തെരുട്ടുക T. to acquaint, M. a part of the grand ceremony (തിരട്ടുകല്യാണം) performed with girls. തെര്‍പ്പ Tdbh. = ദര്‍ഭ.

taiyal, gen. തയ്യല്‍, (തൈതല്‍, തൈ ക്ക) 1. Sewing — ത. ക്കാരന്‍ a tailor, ത. പ്പണി, — വേല needle-work. 2. (T. beauty, wife) a beautiful woman ഉരുവാര്‍ന്ത ത. യാനകി, മിന്നരിടത്ത യ്യലേപ്പിരിയവല്ലേന്‍ RC. tūpi = സൂപ്പി, Yusuph; any Māpla or bald-headed person, having no tuft of hair.

taṭṭam 1. T. So. A flat plate. 2. (loc.) a pony, see II. തട്ടു. 3. (C. Te. ദട്ടി) long cloth tied round the waist, see തടുപ്പു) cloth as used for veils etc. സുല്‍ത്താന്‍റെ ത. Ti. Tippu's garment. അരെക്ക ഒരു ത. കെട്ടി jud. — ചന്ദ്ര ക്കലത്തട്ടം the nimbus-like arch under which the idol is suspended when carried about.

tuḷasi S. (√ prec?) Holy basil, Ocymum sanctum GP 62. തുളസിച്ചോറു a. med. It serves, with Darbha-grass, for the funeral ceremonies of Brahmans. തു. മുതലായ അച്ചനാ പുഷ്പങ്ങള്‍ TR. — തുളസീദളവര്‍ഷവും കാണായി KumK. (from heaven). Kinds: കാട്ടുതു.
