daya S. (ദയ് to give part & take part, G. daiomai) 1. Pity, mercy. 2. favour. ഒരു ദ യ കാണുച്ചു കൊടുക്കരുതു TR. act impartially. വളരേ ദയ കാട്ടി was very kind. എന്‍റെ മേല്‍ ദയ വെച്ചു etc. Also ദയാവു V1., f. i. നിങ്ങളെ ദ യാവുണ്ടായി കല്പിക്കേണം TR. kindly order. ദയവു id. T. ഭ്രതദയവും സത്യവും KR. love for creatures. ദയവുണ്ടായി kindly (epist.) ദയാകടാക്ഷം kind favour, നമ്മോട് എല്ലാകാ ൪രൃത്തിന്നും ദ. ഉണ്ടാവാന്‍, അതു വിസ്തരിപ്പാന്‍ ദ. ഉണ്ടാകവേണ്ടിയിരിക്കുന്നു TR.
