nārāǰam S. (prob. fr. നാര്‍, നാരാ യം). naččam (നച്ചു C. Te. T. to aim at, desire; see നഞ്ചു) & നച്ചക്കുഴല്‍, നച്ചക്കോല്‍ (ഊതിപ്പിടിക്ക) A tube to shoot birds or fishes with clay pellets, arrows, etc. (T. നച്ചുക്കോല്‍). നച്ചത്തിങ്കായി a kind of vegetable poison for fish, (നഞ്ചു) Rh. നച്ചു (T. poisonous, fr. നഞ്ചു) poison — നച്ചെ ണ്ണ Pay; met. നച്ചായിനാന്‍ അരികുലത്തി ന്നു RC. നച്ചെലി So. ner̀uγa (T. നെറി temples; what is straight). The crown of the head (in Tu. നെ ത്തി). നെറുകയില്‍ പീലികെട്ടി Bhr., also നെ റുകന്തല. നെറുവിളക്കു (& കാക്കവി.) a lamp nailed on the head of exposed infants or hanged criminals. നെ. തറെക്ക; നീകാലത്തു നെ. കണ്ടുപോകും (curse).

naǹǹụ (T. നന്‍റു=നല്‍ന്തു) 1. Good. ന ന്നിവന്‍ Bhr. he is a fine fellow. നന്നുനന്നെന്നു പുകഴ്ത്തി KR. bravo! നന്നു നന്നെത്രയും Bhr. very well! അവര്‍ ന. കൊള്ളട്ടേ may it be well with them, = let them risk it, if they like. 2. what is right, advisable. വെച്ചേക്കനന്നോ CC. may one safely lay? ഇവര്‍ സാക്ഷിക്കു നന്നല്ല VyM. won't do for. ബ്രാഹ്മണര്‍ പുലര്‍കാലേ കുളിച്ചു നന്നായിരുന്നു KU. etc. lived undisturbed. നന്നാക 1. 'farewell', a blessing നന്നായ്വരിക എന്നു മുനികള്‍ ചൊന്നാര്‍ KR. 2. to be repaired. നിങ്ങള്‍ പാഴ്മരമായ്പോക (curse) അന്നു നന്നായ്വന്നീടുക CG.; ശാപം പിണെ ഞ്ഞതു നന്നായ്വന്നിതു the curse is removed. ന. യില്ല പട നമുക്കു Bhr. 3. തന്പുരാന്‍ എ ല്ലാവരുമായിട്ടു നന്നായിരിക്കുന്നു TR. stands well with every one. ഇനി ഞങ്ങള്‍ തമ്മില്‍ നന്നായി കഴികയില്ല TR.; ഏറ ഒന്നും പററാ ഞ്ഞു നന്നായ്പോയി came off pretty well. നന്നാക്കുക v. a. 1. പടെച്ചവന്‍ അവരെ ന'ക്ക ട്ടേ Ti. may Allah be merciful to them. 2. to correct, repair, improve (നിലം etc.), to adjust. പൊളിച്ച പുര പൊളിച്ച ആള്‍ നന്നാക്കികൊടുപ്പാന്‍ TR. to restore the roof. നന്നുക den V.?, നന്നും കരുത്തോടു പരത്തിന കരം RC 81. = നണ്ണുക? നന്നേ well, much, liberally. ന.
