paǹičči T. M. (So. പനച്ചി, fr. പനി a drop, see പനെക്ക). An ebony from which a glue is obtained, Diospyros embryopteris, glutinifera S. തിന്ദുകം. Kinds: കാക്കപ്പ. Diospyros tomentosa or a Menispermum; ചെറുപ. Diosp. chloroxylon (ചെറുപ. ഇല ഒരു പിടി MM., ചെറു കോല്‍പ. B. med.). പനിച്ചകം, So. പനച്ചകം, better വരിച്ചകം wood-sorrel, a Hibiscus. പനിഞ്ഞി, പനഞ്ചി B., പനഞ്ഞി V1. 1. glue; grease, tallow. പന്നിപ്പ. lard. 2. = പനി ച്ചി; (പനഞ്ചിക്ക B. the fruit). പനിഞ്ഞില്‍ No., പനഞ്ഞില്‍ So. the roe of fish (droplike), also പരിഞ്ഞില്‍, with വെക്ക V1. to spawn. പനെക്ക B. to ooze(= T. പനിക്ക, C. hanuku, to drizzle).
