Bhr.; പഴുത്ത പഴം ripe fruit, കുല പഴുക്കുന്പോള്‍ സങ്ക്രാന്തി, പഴു ക്കാന്‍ മൂത്താല്‍ പറിക്ക prov.; പ. വെക്ക to put fruits in straw (= പഴുപ്പിക്ക). 2. to become well tempered, red-hot. പ. ച്ചുടുക to roast well, എരിയുന്ന തീയില്‍ പഴുത്ത നാരാചം KR. 3. to suppurate പുണ്‍ പഴുക്കില്‍ MM. 4. to decay. പഴുത്തില a dried leaf, ദേഹം പഴു ത്തു പോയീടും KR. = പഴകി. പഴുത്തില hon. for betel, when Nāyars speak to Brahmans, Tīyars to Nāyars, etc. (see 4). VN. പഴുപ്പു 1. ripening of fruit, blighting of corn. പ. ചെന്നതു V2. overripe. 2. becoming tender, red-hot. മുഖം പ. thrush (S. മു ഖ പാകം). മനസ്സിന്‍റെ പ. V1. contrition. CV. പഴുപ്പിക്ക 1. to ripen artificially as പഴം, to heat as ഇരിന്പു, to accustom, inure. 2. മുഖം പഴുപ്പിക്ക No. actors personating women having their faces dyed with red arsenic (see മനയോല under മനം). പഴുപഴുക്ക to be discoloured; പ'പ്പു yellowness of face V1. II.
