paltmam S. (padma). 1. A lotus flower = താമരപ്പൂ, and what is like it, as a വ്യൂഹം Bhr. 2. a high number = 100,000 മഹാവൃന്ദം. One മഹാപ. = 100,000 പത്മം KR. പത്മഗര്‍ഭം S. 1. born from lotus. 2. a ceremony, the Rāja being born again out of a golden lotus, Trav. (see ഹിരണ്യഗര്‍ഭം). പത്മനാഭന്‍ S. from whose navel a lotus flower arises, Višṇu. ഇപ്പനകള്‍ ഏഴും എയ്ത പത്മ നാഭ Anj. of Rāma. (= പറി) ചൂണ്ടല്‍പ്പറ a fishing- rod. 5. (= പറവ) bird. 6. what belongs to Par̀ayars. Hence. പറക്കാര a thistle (Genesis 3.) പറക്കള്ളി (7) a Par̀aya woman. പറക്കുടി (7) a Par̀aya hut, also പറമാടം. പറക്കുലം the Par̀aya tribe ബ്രാഹ്മണബാല ന്മാര്‍ ഉപനയം കഴിവോളം പ. Anach. പറക്കൊട്ട (3) a measuring basket. പറകെട്ടി Cymbidium aloifolinm (കാഞ്ഞിരപ്പ. an Epidendron on Strychnos; see under തുടി). പറച്ചുണ്ട a sensitive plant, Mimosa B. or Lycopodium. പറച്ചെറുമന്‍ m., — മി f. Cal. — Palg. a Malayāḷam Par̀ayan, also called ചന്പുതിന്നിപ്പ. So., പൈതിന്നിപ്പ. Cal., പുഴുതിന്നിപ്പറയന്‍ No. see പറയന്‍. പറച്ചേരി a Par̀ayar village. പറജാതി (6) birds. പറയന്‍ m., പറയി f. (of T. Pariahs പറച്ചി) a caste of drum-beaters, living by making mats, baskets, besides witchcraft, etc. പറ യന്‍ ൭൨ അടിതിരിയേണം KN. Their tribes (പന്തിരുകുലം) esp. പറയന്‍, പെരുന്പ., മൂത്തരവപ്പ. pōḍa S. A hermaphrodite, fem. പോടന്‍ N. pr. f. പോടാ, പോടി = പോ എടാ — എടി.

paḍāčči (പടര്‍) Spread immoderately; superfluous extent. പുര പ. ആയ്പോയി grew too large, too bulky. ആയാള്‍ പടാച്ചി No. = തുന്പില്ല.; പ. പറക B. to coax, menace. — പടാ ച്ചിക്കാരന്‍ a flatterer. — (Tu. പടാവു exaggeration). — comp. ചപ്പടാച്ചി. പടാവു ( = പടവു?) in വെണ്‍ പ.
