To smear, daub, rub (ചന്ദനം & other pastes). കുങ്കുമച്ചാറു പൂ ചുവാന്‍ KR. അതു നൂററിപ്പൂ ചുന്നു മെയ്യില്‍ CG. met. തെന്നല്‍ മാലേയം തന്മണം മെയ്യില്‍ പൂചി CG. has imbibed the fragrance. 2. to whitewash കുമ്മായം, വെള്ള — to plaster. — met. അ ല്പം പൂശി അയച്ചു tried to soften. 3. with പൊന്‍ to gild. ഇരുന്പില്‍ വെള്ളി പൂശി VyM. silvered. paṭṭayam 1. T. M. (H. paṭṭā) A deed of lease or gift, Patta granted by the Collector = ജയച്ചീട്ടു, f.i. സ്ഥലത്തിന്നു പ. വാങ്ങി MR. 2. T. aM. broad sword V1. വേലു പ. തടി KR. (see foil.)

pōḍu (C. podet the belly, breast). The navel, umbilical rupture. 2. So. പോടുണ്ടാ ക്കുക to burrow (പോതു II.). മരത്തിന്‍റെ പോ ട്ടില്‍ Arb. a hole. പാന്പിന്‍റെ പോടു Palg.

H. paṭālan, A battalion, regiment, army — പട്ടാളക്കാര്‍ etc. പട്ടാളിച്ചുപോക No. (പട്ട) = പോളിച്ചുപോക paddy, greens, etc. over-grown on account of too much shadow or manure, having leaves only but no fruit, (comp. പട്ടെക്ക).
