puṇ T. M. C. (huṇṇu & puru, Te. puṇḍu, Tu. puḍi). A sore, ulcer; a wound ഇലക്കണന്‍ തനിക്കു പുണ്‍നൊന്തതിരോഗം മരുന്നിനാല്‍ തീര്‍ത്തു RC. പുണ്ണില്‍ ഒരു കൊള്ളി വെക്കുന്നതു പോലേ AR. പുണ്ണില്‍ വെച്ചു കെട്ടുക a. med. പു. വറളും MM. the wound heals. — തീപ്പു. a scald. — ഉഷ്ണപ്പു. Syphilis. പുണ്ണന്‍ having sores = വ്രണമുള്ളവന്‍. പുണ്ണാക to become sore. — വായി പുണ്ണാക്കുക to salivate.

pēr̀u T. M. (VN. of പെറുക). 1. Birth, bringing forth, as പേറുതാലം, പേററുതിങ്ങള്‍ the last month of pregnancy. പേററുനോവു, — പുര (= ൦രംററു —). പേററുമരുന്നു തീററുന്നു (midwives). പേറുഭരിക്ക So., പേറു വലിക്കുന്നവള്‍ Palg. a midwife. ഒന്നപ പെററു പേറുമാറി (a riddle) = വാഴ. പേറുമാറിയവള്‍ past child-bearing. 2. aM. what is obtained, deserved, = ഫലം, luck. പേറു പെറുക V1. to deserve.
