puṇaruγa T. M. C. (= പൂണുക). 1. To embrace പുണര്‍ന്നുടന്‍ പുത്രനെ CC. അ വനെ പുണര്‍ന്നുകൊണ്ടു Bhg. കൊങ്കകള്‍ പു. Bhr. മലര്‍മ്മാതിന്‍ മാറു പുര്‍വ്വോനേ CG. So. the web of a key. പല്ലന്‍ one who has large or peouliar teeth, often പൊക്കപ്പല്ലന്‍ m., പുഴുപ്പല്ലി, കൊന്ത്രം പല്ലിച്ചി fem. etc. പല്ലരണ a disease of the gums V1. പല്ലാങ്കുഴി B. a tablet with 14 holes serving for a game, പ. യാടുക. പല്ലിക്കോര a കോര 317. പല്ലിടക്കുത്തി, പല്ലുകോല്‍, പല്ലുകുത്തി, പല്ലുളി a toothpick, tooth-cleaner. പല്ലിടുക്കില്‍ കു ത്തി മണപ്പാന്‍ കൊടുക്ക prov. (to reveal one's own faults). പല്ലിറുമ്മുക So. to gnash the teeth. പല്ലിളിക്ക to grin, snarl പ'ച്ചു കാട്ടി CC., also പല്ലു കാട്ടുക.

pō/?/aǹ (C. Tu. bōḷa hornless, bald?) = ഭോഷന്‍ Fool, also പോഴത്താളന്‍ V1. പോഴത്തം = ഭോഷത്വം with കാട്ടുക, പറക, V1. പോഴത്തം ഏവം പലതുമളക്കയും PT. പൌഗണ്ഡം S. (പോഗ —). Boyhood പൌ' മാം കാലം Bhg. (after കൌമാരം).

paǰanam S. = പക്തി Cooking; digestion. പ. പാര്‍ക്ക V1. stopping at church without going home for meals (Nasr.) പചിക്ക S. to cook (G. pepō). നെയ്യില്‍പ. Tantr. to dress food; പചിപ്പാന്‍ മടപ്പള്ളി Sk. — to digest; mature — part. പക്വം. — VN. പാകം.

pūraṇam S. (പൂരം). 1. Filling വില്ലി നേ പൂ. ചെയ്യും KR. will bend the bow. സ ന്താനപൂ. വരുത്തുക Sk. to obtain the desired posterity. 2. hairs of silk for the use of women. പൂരാടം Tdbh. of പൂ൪വ്വാഷാഢം The 20th asterism, bow of Sagittarius പൂ. പിറന്ന പു രുഷന്‍ prov. (= very strong, see മകം).

puṇġavaǹ S. (പും + ഗോ). 1. A bull, പുംഗവധ്വജന്‍റെ ചെഞ്ചിടഭാരം PT. Siva's. 2. the chief of നരപു., വാനരപു. KR. the best of men, monkeys. പുങ്ങം Tdbh. = പുംസവനം; പുങ്ങച്ചോറു etc.

paḷḷam T. Te. CM. 1. Pit, hole, excavation വെളളമില്ലാത ആറുകള്‍ പ'മായ്ക്കിടക്കു ന്നു KR. 2. low ground, low shore. പളളം അഴിക്ക goats etc. to destroy a kitchen-garden near a river. പളളം വെക്ക to make one (പളളം the deepened garden-beds, see 1.) — പളളത്തേ മീന്‍ D. Etroplus Cornchi, a small fish in the mud of fields. 3. B. loss.
