pāḍa (T. Te. pile, S. row fr. പടു). 1. What rises to the surface, scum, froth. പാ. ചൂടുന്നു froth to form. പാ. യുളള കഞ്ഞി rice drawing a skin. കണ്ണിലേ പാ. rheum, so നെയ്പാട & പാ. കൂടിയ (കെട്ടിയ) ഇളന്നീര്‍ No. the flesh of the cocoanut beginning to form. 2. cream V1. തൈര്‍ പാ. കൂടാതേ കൂട്ടുകില്‍ GP.; പാല്‍പ്പാ. ക്കട്ടി Arb. cheese. — used met. ഭരതന്നു മുഴു ത്തൊരു പാടയെടുത്ത പാല്‍ എന്തിന്നു തരു വാന്‍ ചൊല്ലുന്നു KR. 3.
