paraḷa (loc.) = വരളി Flattened dry cowdung.

Diospyros tomentosa or a Menispermum; ചെറുപ. Diosp. chloroxylon (ചെറുപ. ഇല ഒരു പിടി MM., ചെറു കോല്‍പ. B. med.). പനിച്ചകം, So. പനച്ചകം, better വരിച്ചകം wood-sorrel, a Hibiscus. പനിഞ്ഞി, പനഞ്ചി B., പനഞ്ഞി V1. 1. glue; grease, tallow. പന്നിപ്പ. lard. 2. = പനി ച്ചി; (പനഞ്ചിക്ക B. the fruit). പനിഞ്ഞില്‍ No., പനഞ്ഞില്‍ So. the roe of fish (droplike), also പരിഞ്ഞില്‍, with വെക്ക V1. to spawn. പനെക്ക B. to ooze(= T. പനിക്ക, C. hanuku, to drizzle).

pappaḍam (C.Tu. happaḷam. S. പര്‍പ്പ ടം). A thin, crisp cake of ഉഴുന്നു; one kind is ക്ഷാരപപ്പടം GP.; ഉരുക്കുനെയ്യില്‍ ചുട്ട പ. TP. പപ്പടക്കല്ലു a millstone തിരിക്കല്ലു, taxed MR. പപ്പടക്കാരം = potass. പപ്പടച്ചെട്ടി a caste of cakemakers, Jainas (114 at Taḷiparambu).
