pum S. Male (fr. പുമംസ് S.) പുംശ്ചലി S. a harlot (running after men) ഭോ ഗാല്‍ ഉപായയായ പും. B. a fruit with the flower attached, empty pod. 3. dampness, moisture (=പുകില്‍). മഴ പെയ്തു പൂല്‍ അടങ്ങിയിട്ടില്ല No. = നനവു മു ന്പേയുള്ള നനവോടെത്തിയില്ല the rain has not penetrated the soil. പൂല്‍ ഉള്ള സ്ഥലത്തു കുമിള്‍; വിത്തു ഇരുപൂലില്‍ ആയ്പോയി No. has sprouted only partly (the field must be resown). met. ഇന്നിന്നവനു നല്ല പൂല്‍ അല്ലേ = No. he thrives. 4. a crop എത്ര പൂവ്വലുള്ള നിലം, ഇരു പൂവ്വലുള്ളതു Arb. paltmam S. (padma). 1. A lotus flower = താമരപ്പൂ, and what is like it, as a വ്യൂഹം Bhr. 2. a high number = 100,000 മഹാവൃന്ദം. One മഹാപ. = 100,000 പത്മം KR. പത്മഗര്‍ഭം S. 1. born from lotus. 2. a ceremony, the Rāja being born again out of a golden lotus, Trav. (see ഹിരണ്യഗര്‍ഭം). പത്മനാഭന്‍ S. from whose navel a lotus flower arises, Višṇu. ഇപ്പനകള്‍ ഏഴും എയ്ത പത്മ നാഭ Anj. of Rāma. Often പത്മനാഭസ്വാ മി & പ'നാഭി Višṇu. as worshipped in Tiruvanantapuram. — ശ്രീ പ'ഭദാസന്‍ title of the Travancore Rāja. — പ'ഭപുരം‍ N. pr. of the temple & palace in Travancore. പത്മരാഗം lotus-coloured; a ruby. പത്മാകരം a lotus-tank. പത്മാക്ഷന്‍, (പത്മേക്ഷണന്‍ AR.) m., — ക്ഷി f. lotus-eyed. പത്മാസനം one of the 9 postures in യോ ഗം. — പ'ന്‍, പത്മസംഭവന്‍ AR. poḍi T. Te. M. (C. Tu. puḍi) fr. പൊടു 1. Dust പൊടിയും ചണ്ടിയും prov. കിണ്ടി പൊടി തുടെച്ചു TP. ഞാന്‍ പൊടിക്കു പൊടി യായാല്‍ if I die. അവന്‍റെ കാക്കല്‍ പൊടിയും ഏററു പോയ്ക്കിടക്ക Bhr.
