To anoint, wax, varnish ശര്‍ക്കര കൊണ്ടു മെ. to cover one's design with sweet words. 2. to daub a place with cow-dung ചെത്തി അടിച്ചു മെഴുകിത്തേച്ചു Anj. — തളം മെ. (the work of Ambalavāsi). KN. ക്ഷോണി മെ ഴുകി ദര്‍ഭകള്‍ വിരിച്ചു Bhg. smoothed by plastering with mud or chunam. കുമ്മായം കൊണ്ടു മെഴുകുന്നോര്‍ Anj. മെഴുക്കല്‍, S. സ്ഥണ്ഡിലം a place levelled and smoothed for ceremonies, Brahmans' meals, etc. VN. മെഴുക്കു anointing, varnish, daubing, polishing. മെഴുക്കെണ sesam oil. മെ. പിര ണ്ടതു lubricated with oil V1. 2. മാച്ചു മെഴു ക്കുകള്‍ Nid. എടുക്ക, കളക, ഇളക്കുക to take oil out of the skin etc. മെഴുക്കനേ MC. quite smooth. കുങ്കുമം മെഴു ക്കന്നു പൂചും മാറു Bhr.

mūṇa So. = മോണ The gums.

mānduγa (മന്തു?). To scratch with nails, claws, dig with the hand (with hoofs ചുര മാന്തുക horses, cattle, pigs), നായി വാതു ക്കല്‍, വാതില്ക്കു മാ'ന്നു TP. മൂരി കുളന്പിനാല്‍ മാ., പന്നി മാ., പൂച്ച പിടിച്ചു മാന്തിയൂട്ടു etc. മറ ചെയ്ത ശവം മാന്തി എടുപ്പിച്ചു TR. exhumed. VN. I. മാന്തല്‍ scratching, a scratch. II. മാന്തു 1. a scratch പുലിയുടെ കടിമാന്തും TR. 2. മാ. പിടിക്ക a certain itch. മാന്തി a grate for cocoa-nuts, smaller than ചിരവ. mēppāvụ (മേല്‍). A loft, ceiling ച ന്ദനംകൊണ്ടു മേ. വിട്ടു TP.; a high building കൊതിക്കെന്‍റെ മേപ്പയില്‍തട്ടി TP.; തച്ചോളി മേപ്പയിലും പോരുന്നു (പുതുപ്പണഅംശം മേപ്പ യില്‍ ദേശം) TP. മേപ്പുലം So. (മേയി). A pasture.

mand/?/ikka S. = മന്ദം പിടിക്ക To become slow, dull, inactive as bowels. അസ്ത്രം മന്ദിച്ചിതേററവും Bhr. had spent its force. മന്ദിച്ചു വാങ്ങി Mud. retired slowly. ചൊന്നു മന്ദിച്ച നേരം CG. having done relating. വീ രന്‍ മ. to lose heart = മടുക്ക; മ'യാതേ പൂകി നാര്‍ CG. = മടിയാതേ.
