(loc.) the God of the builders (ആ ശാരി), supposed to indicate the qualities of each site & direct the workmen; he sleeps on the ground, the head toward SW., the feet NE. [No. ബലി as കുററിപൂജ 274., or against any ഉരദ്രവം is offered to തച്ചുഗുളികന്‍]. വാസ്തുചീര, (S. വാസ്തുകം) Chenopodium album; also നാട്ടുചീ., പരിപ്പുചീ. വാസ്തോഷ്പതി S. genius of the house; Indra.

vaiyaγam T. aM. (വൈ 4.). The world, earth വയ്യകത്താരും തിരിപ്പോരില്ല Anj. — വയ്യം T. aM. id., വയ്യം ഏഴിലും ഇരിട്ടക ററും RC. (the sun).

vakka So. (വക്കു 2). A large elephant-rope. വ. യിട്ടു പിടിക്ക MC. used in catching wild elephants, dragging timber. വക്കത്താഴന്പു scar on the trunk of elephants by its friction.
