čur̀ukkụ 5. (C. ചുരുചുരു, സു — vehemently) Sharpness, quickness, zeal. ചൊറുക്കു ള്ള അമ്മ an active, careful mother. ചുറുക്കന്‍ a keen fellow. ചുറുചുറുപ്പു M. (T. hurrying; activity) alacrity & dispatch = തെരുതെരുപ്പു. q. v. ചുറോണി MM. = ശ്രോണി The hip.

terikkụ (തെരുതെര). Quickness, in adv. തെരിക്കെന്നധുനാ വന്നു CC., തെരിക്കെ ന്നിനിവേഗം ചെല്ക AR., തെരിക്കനേ, തെരി യവന്നു vu.; മോക്ഷമാര്‍ഗ്ഗംതെ'ക്കേവിചാരിക്കും Vēdnt. earnestly.

teru T. M. (Te. C. തെരവു, Te. തെരുവു, fr. തിറക്ക? way) 1. Street, bazar-street; also തെരുവീഥിതൂര്‍ത്തൂ തളിച്ചു KR.; തെരുവത്തിരുന്നു വാണിയം ചെയ്വു Pay. 2. a weaver-village തെരുവത്തുള്ള ചാലിയന്മാര്‍ TR. തെരുതെര 1. throngingly, as in a street തെ. കടക്കുന്നു. 2. തെ. ത്തച്ചു Bhr.; തെ'രേ സ്തുതി ച്ചുAR. incessantly, (= തിരക്കു). തെരുക്കനേ = തെരിക്കനേ. തെരുതെരുപ്പു activity, diligence, smartness = ചുറുചുറുപ്പു. തെരുന്നനേ suddenly, quickly തെ. തേരും ഉ യര്‍ന്നു Bhr.; ഗുരു സമീപത്തില്‍ തെ. ചെന്നു, ഭരതന്‍ ചാരത്തു തെ. വന്നു KR.

ter̀ukka (T. to bruise) 1. v. a. To pull up the cloth, as when wading (തെരുക്ക); to roll up തിരി തെ. Tantr.; അരുവു തെറുത്തു കുത്തു ക V2. to hem; to stop water-courses. 2. v. n. (T. തെറുക) water to stand, to be dammed up. തെറുത്തു നോക്ക to fix one with the eye. തേരട്ട തെറുത്തു കിടക്ക MC. lies rolled up. CV. തെറുപ്പിക്ക to enclose water by dykes (= ചെറുക്ക). തെറുതെറുപ്പു = തെരുതെരുപ്പു (loc.)

M. നെടു) Long, tall, straight. — VN. നീടു, നീള്‍, നീഴ്. നിടിയരി rice not broken by pounding, (opp. നുറുക്കരി); also നിടിയതു. നിടിയോന്‍ 1. a tall person. നി'ന്‍റെ തലയില്‍ വടി prov. the highest is most endangered. 2. a creeper = നരന്ത. നിടുങ്കണ്‍ a large eye, നീല നി. മടന്തയര്‍ RC. — കുടിലനെടുങ്കണ്ണി RC. നിടുങ്കയറു a long cord, tow; so നിടുങ്കാലം etc. neutr. നിടുതു: നീള നിടുതായി വീര്‍ക്കും CG.; തടി മെലിച്ചിട്ടു നിടുതായിട്ടിരുന്നു tall. jud.
