tēḷ T. M. (Te. തെലു, C. Tu. ചേള്‍, fr. ചെ ള്ളു) A. scorpion. Kinds: കരിം —, മണിത്തേള്‍, വെന്തേള്‍; വാഴത്തേള്‍ or വെററിലത്തേള്‍ a venomous insect. (No. തേള്‍ without shears f. i. കരിങ്ങാണിത്തേള്‍, but കൊന്പന്തേള്‍ the kinds with shears). തേള്‍ക്കട, (So. തേക്കിട, S. വൃശ്ചികാളി) Tragia involucrata?, but see കൊടിത്തൂവ. I.

divišattụ (ദിവി + സത്തു) Dwelling in heaven, God; also ദിവിഷ്ഠന്‍, ദിവൌ കസ്സ്. ദിവ്യം S. 1. heavenly; wonderful, extraordinary. ദിവ്യ കല്ലു precious. മഹാ ദിവ്യന്‍ KU. a genius. 2. = തിരു hon. pronoun. ദിവ്യ ചി ത്തംകൊണ്ടു കല്പിച്ചു Your Excellence ordered; so ദിവ്യചിത്തത്തില്‍ ബോധിക്ക, കൃപ ഉണ്ടാക; ദിവ്യസന്നിധാനങ്ങളിലേക്ക് എഴു തി TR. (opp. മാനുഷം). 3. = ദിവ്യപ്രമാ ണം ordeal & oath, ഒന്പതു ദിവ്യങ്ങളെക്കൊ ണ്ടു പരീക്ഷിക്ക VyM. ദിവ്യചക്ഷുസ്സ് the eye of a seer penetrating beyond time & space. nāmam S. (√ ജ്ഞാ or മ്നാ) 1. A name നാ. ധരിക്ക, ഇടുക. — ദശരഥനാമ്നാ AR. (Instr.) — Esp. a name descriptive of attributes, as തിരുനാ. the names of Višṇu (generally 27, but also സഹസ്രനാ.), repeated as morning prayer. തിരുനാമങ്ങള്‍ ഇല്ലാതേ പോകയോ GnP. തിരു നാമമാഹാത്മ്യം the efficacy of such repetitions. നാ'മങ്ങള്‍ ഓതുക, ജപിക്ക Bhg. 2. a sectarian mark of Vaišṇavas ഗോപിനാമക്കുറി. 3. the noun (gram.). Hence: നാമകം bearing the name, രാമനാമക മായ മോതിരം KR. = നാമാങ്കിതം. നാമകരണം giving the infant a name = പേ രിടുക, generally on the 12th day പന്ത്രണ്ടാം ദിനം നാ. അവര്‍ക്ക് എല്ലാം KR.; also പുത്ര നു നാമകര്‍മ്മം ചെയ്ക Bhg. നാമകീര്‍ത്തനം; = നാമസങ്കീ.; തിരുനാമജപം Bhg. നാമധാരി (1) having the name; (2) wearing the Vaišṇava mark, (നാമധാരണം). നാമധേയം PT. a name. നാമമാത്രം having only the name, Bhg. നാമമാല (1) a list of holy names; (3) a dictionary. നാമവാന്‍ having the name, നാരദനാ. നന്മുനി CG. നാമര്‍ N. pr. m., കുഞ്ഞ്യാമറേപ്പാട്ടു TP. നാമവൃത്തി occupation with holy names, നിന്നു ടെ നാ. എന്നിയേ ചിന്തയില്ല KR. നാമശാലി named, എന്ന പേരോടും കൂടേ നാ' യാം സിംഹത്താന്‍ PT. നാമശേഷം of which the name only remains. ഭീമമാകിയ പരാക്രമം എല്ലാം നാ. ഇവതേ ChVr. thou, Bhīmasēna, appearst only
