čukkụ T. M. C. Te. (shrivel = ചുരുക്കു, or Tdbh. ശുഷ്കം) Dry, as ചുക്കടക്ക, ചുക്കങ്കായി of plantains. കുറുക്കുല നെയ്യില്‍ വറുത്ത ചുക്കാ ന്പോള്‍ വാങ്ങി MM. ചുക്കാക വെന്തു a med. 2.dried ginger. ചുക്കുവെള്ളം കുടിച്ചു med. prov. ഭാരം ചക്കെക്കു പലം ചുക്കു prov. (in praise of dry ginger). S. what is worthless. Hence: ചുക്കുക, ക്കി to grow dry, shrivel (also ചുങ്ങുക).

čēlāni No. (= ചെല്ലി 1.) Quick-grass, a thorn growing on the ridges of ricefields.

PT. won't do. ചിതക്കേടു impropriety, disorder (also of body), disagreeableness; ചി. തോന്നി V2. was displeased.

čavaḷi T. So. Any cloth C. ജ — (see ചോളി). ചവളിക്കച്ചവടം mercery.
