čaṇṇa 1. Buttocks of animals, ham കു റകു f.i. കൊള്ളികൊണ്ടു ചണ്ണെക്ക എറിഞ്ഞു; ച. വലിച്ചിരിക്ക the nerve of the thigh is contracted.— ചണ്ണപ്പൂട്ടു No. the socket of the hip-bone. 2. (S. ചണ്ഡ) Andropogon acidulatum. 3. ചണ്ണക്കിഴങ്ങു a med. a Curcuma = അടവിക്കച്ചൂരം; also ചണ്ണക്കൂവ B. (see നറുഞ്ച). 4. ഏലച്ചണ്ണ a full grown Cardamom plant No. ചണ്ണുക So. to eat greedily.

čappa So. Palg. (vu. T. what is flattened; leanness, of S. ചര്‍പ flat, Winsl.) = ചപ്പട്ട; see ചപ്പു. ചപ്പത്തുണി etc.,— മൂരി So. Palg. inferior cloth, cattle, (prh. ചപ്പന്‍തുണി etc.?). ചപ്പമൂക്കു So. T. = ചപ്പിയ മൂക്കു q. v. ചപ്പം see ചപ്പു.
