ta/?/aγi (& തഴി B., തകഴി No.) A plaster, stripe of cloth dipped in oil & laid upon a wound. — തഴകിയിടുക MM. = തഴയിടുക.

Ar. tarǰama [Targum, Dragoman]. Translation, എഴുത്തിന്‍റെ തരിജമ MR.; also തരിശമ vu.

tanayaǹ S. (extending the family) A son. ജനകനോടു തുല്യം ത. ChVr. — തനയ a daughter. തനാസ്സ് Port, tenaz. Pinoers, tweezers.

terikkụ (തെരുതെര). Quickness, in adv. തെരിക്കെന്നധുനാ വന്നു CC., തെരിക്കെ ന്നിനിവേഗം ചെല്ക AR., തെരിക്കനേ, തെരി യവന്നു vu.; മോക്ഷമാര്‍ഗ്ഗംതെ'ക്കേവിചാരിക്കും Vēdnt. earnestly.

tammappaǹ (തം) Own father, or ധര്‍മ്മ? തമ്മപ്പാ Voc. Pay. തമ്മപ്പഴുത്ത കദളിക്കായി TP. etc. fruits ripened on the tree.

tēva T. M. (Tdbh., സേവ?) Need. തേവില്ല or തേവയില്ല l. = വേണ്ട. 2. not quite (f. i. well). തേവിക്ക. — പഞ്ചതാര മേല്‍പ്പൊടിയിട്ടു തേ. a. med. = സേവിക്ക.

tīyaǹ, a M. തീവന്‍ (Port. Fr. Tives) An islander, the caste of the palm-cultivators, toddy-drawers, sugar-makers, etc. The ൦രംഴ വര്‍ are in fact the same caste, & both are said to have come with the South-tree (തെങ്ങു) from Ceylon KU. — fem. തീയത്തി & തീയപ്പെണ്ണു TR. തീയര്‍ ആദിയായിട്ടുള്ള കീഴ്ജാതികള്‍ TR.; the caste rose in dignity by serving the English at Tellicherry. പുതിയ തീ. a Tīyar-bridegroom. തീയത്താളന്‍ an islander, (see തീവു). തീയന്‍ വാഴ the Maledive-plantain.

So. to kick; to whip with twigs, to cudgel V1. a. നന്ദജന്‍ മേനിയില്‍ അസ്ത്ര ങ്ങള്‍കൊണ്ടു തൊഴിച്ചു CG. — ബാണങ്ങള്‍ തൊ. Brhmd. (=പൊഴി) VN. തൊഴി of 1 & 2. തൊഴിയുക (loc. = കൊഴിയുക?) to droop; leaves, fruits to fall, to patter.
