dhvāṇkšam S. A crow; also വൃദ്ധ ധ്വാംക്ഷകന്‍ PT. ധ്വാനം = ധ്വനി.

dhvaǰam S. (ധൂ?). A banner, flag, ensign. ധ്വജപ്രതിഷ്ഠ erecting a flag-staff. — ധ്വജിനി an army.

dhauδam S. part. (ധാവ 2.) Washed.

dhānyam S. ( ധാന grain). Corn, grain, esp. നെല്ലു; രസധാ. rank corn, നീരസധാ. meagre corn. ധാന്യവ൪ദ്ധനം lending grain for seed at usurious interest. ധാന്യവൃദ്ധി first-fruits, നിറ. ധാന്യസാരം grain after threshing, പൊല്. ധാന്യാമ്ലം sour gruel, വെപ്പുകാടി.

dhāri S. (ധര്‍) Holding വേശധാ., ശസ്ത്ര ധാ. വേഷധാരി etc.

dhanvāvụ S. A bow = ധനു, f.i. ഗാ ണ്ഡീവധ. Bhr. holding the bow Gāṇḍhīva. ധന്വന്തരി (the sun as travelling on an arc). N. pr. the physician of the Gods. ധന്വി an archer, Bhg., (= ദനുഷ്മാന്‍).

dhāδāvu S. (ധാ, G. the; to put) Founder, creator, author; Brahma ലോകക ൪ത്താവായുള്ള ധാ. Bhr.; ധാതൃകല്പിതം Nal. fate.

dhanyaǹ S. (ധനം) Fortunate. പുണ്യ ങ്ങള്‍ ചെയുള്ള ധന്യരെ വിണ്ണില്‍ കാണായി CG. the blessed in heaven, ധന്യരില്‍ മുന്പന്‍ Mud. ധന്യോഹം AR. how happy I am! ധന്യാദന്യം ഞാനഹോ KeiN. most blessed. abstr. N. ധന്യത്വം blessedness, അതിനോളം ധ. ഉണ്ടോ Bhr.; ധ. ആ൪ക്കുമ പറയാവതല്ല Brhmd.
