nairāšyam S. (നിരാശ). 1. Despair; V1. obstinacy പിടിക്ക, ഭാവിക്ക So. 2. abstaining from hope or desire നൈ. എ ന്നതു നല്ല സുഖം Bhg. നൈരാശ്യക്കാരന്‍ vu. a head-strong person.

nappu No. (=നര്‍റപു. നന്നം). Scent; tracing a theft, etc.

naḍa 5. (√ നടുക to enter) 1. našṭam S. (part. of നശ്) 1. Lost, destroyed നഷ്ടമായകുമാരന്‍ KumK. (&നഷ്ടന്‍). നാലഞ്ചു പുത്രന്മാര്‍ ന'മായി SG.; രാജ്യവും പ്ര ജകളും നഷ്ടമായീടും Nal. you will lose the land. വിഷാദവും ചിന്തയും ന'മായി KR. left him. ദുഷ്ടരെ ന'മാക്കി Anj. destroyed. കുലം നഷ്ടമായ്ചമെക്ക Bhr. 2. loss, waste, damage കാര്യനാശവും കൃഷിനഷ്ടവും TrP.; ഞാറു, വിള, വാഴ ന. വരുത്തി MR. destroyed. നഷ്ടം വക MR. the amount of damage. ന. പറക V2. to recover what is lost by conjuring; (ന. വെക്കുക by calculation). നഷ്ടം തിരിക to roam about, be at a loss, (vu. also നട്ടംതിരിച്ചല്‍). 3. entire നഷ്ടഭ്രാന്തു പിടിച്ചു vu. = പൂര്‍ണ്ണം.
