pārvatyam (Tdbh. of പ്രാവ൪ത്യം? as if fr. പ്രവൃത്തി q. v.; but T. Te. V1. have pārapatyam, C. pārup. superintendence, management, as if fr. പാര്‍ക്ക). 1. Local government, administration മോര്‍ വില്ക്കുന്നതായേ ഊ രിലേ പാരപത്യം എന്തിനു prov., also പാറോ ത്യം; നാട്ടില്‍ ഓരോരുത്തര്‍ പാറോവത്തി ചെ യ്തു, പാറവത്യം ചെയ്യുന്നവന്‍ TR. 2. Trav. a subordinate revenue situation. പാ൪വത്യക്കാര൪ a subordinate Collector & Magistrate (Trav. = അധികാരി). സുല്ത്താ ന്‍റെ പാര്‍പ്പത്യക്കാരന്മാര്‍, പാര്‍പ്പത്തിക്കാരന്‍ TR. A jungle, chiefly highland overrun with underwood & capable of irregular cultivation പു. കൊത്തുക, കരിപ്പിടുക TR. the process of cutting down & burning the underwood, say once in 12 years for sowing jungle-rice. പുനനെല്ലു, പുനകൃഷി, പുനം പൈമാശി TR. N. ദേവസ്വത്തിന്നു ൨ പൊതിപ്പാടു പുനം വാങ്ങി jud. 2. a cover, hole പാന്പു പുനത്തിന്നു പോന്നു TP. പുനക്കണ്ടം a hill-tract. പുനന്പു rattan (= പുരന്പു). പുനന്പന്‍ D. a head-man among Chègōns. പുനംവാരം rent of produce from jungle cultivation.

pāvaγaǹ S. (പൂ). Pure പാവകയാ കിയ ധാരണ CG. purifying; Agni, the fire. പാവകഭാവത്തെ പൂണ്ടു CG. burning from rage.

1. To augment. മരം പെ. a ceremony on Utrāḍam, with pāṇar beating the Mad'daḷam, to secure a rich crop. നെല്‍ പെ. a similar act, presenting the first sheaf to Laxmi and abstaining from giving alms. പെ'വാന്‍ പണ്ണാരം പുക്കു TP. 2. to multiply (=ഏററുക) സംഖ്യയെ നാലില്‍ പെരുക്കി TrP. ഇവറെറ പത്തില്‍ പെരുക്കി Gan. തള്ളകളെ ത ങ്ങളില്‍ പെ.
