Palg. (see പോതിക). പൊതിപ്പത്തു or പോററിപ്പത്തു a tenth of the seed-corn formerly paid to temples, but merged in the general assessment. W. പൊതിപ്പാടു a measure of rice-land requiring a Poδi of seed to sow it. എനിക്കു സ്വന്ത മായി ൬ പൊ. കണ്ടം ൧൨ പൊ. പണയം വക കണ്ടങ്ങള്‍ കൂടിയിരിക്കുന്നു (Becal). പൊതിമാടു Palg. = പൊതിക്കാള.

pāva T. M. (പാവു or ഭാവം?). Doll, puppet. അവന്‍ പാ. a mere puppet. അവരെ പാടി നിന്നാടിച്ചു പോരുന്ന പാ. കള്‍ ആക്കി നാന്‍ വാക്കുകൊണ്ടു CG. governed them completely. പാവ വെക്ക palg. to put up a scare-crow against the influences of an evil eye. — Kinds: തച്ചന്‍ പാ. കള്‍ പണി ചെയ്തു Nasr., മരപ്പാവ പോലേ Nal.
