bhāṭṭam S. (ഭട്ട). A division of the old Kēraḷa Brahmans (2 others are പ്രഭാകരം & വ്യാകരണം) derived from one ഭാട്ടപ്രഭാകര വ്യാകരണന്‍, whose shoe (മെതിയടി) is said to be preserved in തൃക്കണ്ണാപുരം, തൃക്കല്‍പുറം KU. (others = പാട്ടം usufruction). ഭാട്ടന്‍ S. a follower of ഭട്ടന്‍. ഭാഡ (loc.) = ബാഡ.

bhī S. Fear (= ഭയം). ഭീകരം S. terrific ഭീ'മായ കായം, അതിഭീ'മാ യ്വരും VCh. ഭീതന്‍ S. bhaktam S. (part. pass, of ഭജ്). Apportioned; a meal = ചോറു. ഭക്തന്‍ attached, devoted, in Cpds. as ശിവഭ. or നീലകണ്ഠന്‍റെ ഭ. Si Pu. his devout worshipper. തന്നുടെ ഭ. Bhr. ദേവിയുടെ ഭ. bhaġam S. (ഭജ്, ഭഗന്‍ giver, Lord). 1. Good fortune = ശ്രീ; love. 2. pudendum mul.; perinæium. ഭഗന്ദരം S. (2) fistula in ano, or about the natural parts ഭ'രത്തിന്നു യോനി തന്നില്‍ ഉ ണ്ടാം കുരു a. med. ഭഗവതി S. (fem. of foll.). 1. bhūrǰam & bhūrǰapatram S. A birch-tree, the bark of which was used for writing, & for winding round the Hooka-snake (vu. ഭുജപത്രം).

bhāraδam S. (ഭരത). Referring to Bh. or the Bharatas. 1. = ഭാരതഖണ്ഡം, — വര്‍ഷം India. Bhg 5.
