bhāvana S. (caus. of ഭു). 1. Effecting; power of representing to oneself, imagination. ഭാ. തന്നാലേ പുല്കി CG. not bodily, ഭാ. യാലേ വന്ദിച്ചു Bhr. inwardly. In Vēdānta ബ്രഹ്മഭാ. is the realization of the All One, അസംഭാ. its first enemy, the fancy of the difference of things, സംശയഭാ. want of implicit reliance on the Guru, വിപരീതഭാ. the thought of body, I, world, as if they were realities, etc. KeiN. ഭാ. കൊണ്ടു തന്നേ സര്‍വ്വവും ഉണ്ടാകുന്നു Bhg. 2. reflection, meditation മാമുനിമാര്‍ മൌലി യില്‍ ചേര്‍ക്കുന്നു ഭാ. യാലേ ഈ പാദപരാഗം, കേവലയായൊരു ഭാ. തന്നിലേ മേവി നിന്നു CG. confined himself to one meditation. ഭാവി S. (ഭൂ) 1. future; fut. tense (gram.).— ഭാ. വാക്യം.prediction. 2. (ഭാവം) holding & expressing a sentiment പ്രിയഭാവിയായി രിക്ക VCh. — ഭാവിനി S. a fine woman. denV. ഭാവിക്ക 1. to represent, exhibit, show കേട്ടില്ല എന്നു ഭാവിച്ചു Bhr.; കേട്ടതു ഭാവി യാതേ PT.; ശോകരോഷാദികളെ ഭാവിച്ചു Mud. (felt or feigned). കെട്ടി ഞാന്നു ചാവ തിന്നായി ഭാ. Mud. act as if you hanged yourself!; so neg. കാണാതേ ഭാ. to feign to believe yourself unseen. — കലശല്ക്കു ഭാ. MR. to show fight. രാജാവു ചിരിക്കുന്നതു പോ ലേ ഭാവിച്ചു കൊല്ലും though he appear to smile. 2. to assume (=അഹംഭാവം?). അ ന്യോന്യവാഞ്ഛിതം കൊണ്ടു ഭാ'ച്ചു ഘോഷി ച്ചു Nal. claimed each the preference for his choice. 3. to intend നാളെ സ്വയംവരം ഭാവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു Nal. സേവയും ഭാവിച്ചു Bhr. (a dog seeking a master). Chiefly Dat. ഊണിന്നു ഭാവിച്ചു KR. (=ഉണ്മാന്‍). ഭക്ഷണ ത്തിന്നു ഭാവിക്കുന്പോള്‍ TR. പടെക്കു Bhr. സന്ധിക്കു ഭാവിക്കില്‍ ChVr. resolve & prepare for. ഭാ. വേണ്ട അതിന്നിനി Sah. don't hope for it. ഭാവിതം part. pass, of prec. (also: got, mixed). ഇതിപ്പോള്‍ വന്നതും എനിക്കു ഭാ. KR. hoped for. CV. ഭാവിപ്പിക്ക f. i. അവര്‍ക്കു സങ്കടം മനതാ രില്‍ ഭാവിപ്പിച്ചീടും Nal. I should grieve them (al. സംഭവിപ്പി —). ഭാവുകം S. happy= ശുഭം, സുഖം.

bhiṇṇaǹ (aC. biṇ stout, Tu. buṇa pole). Stout, heavy അന്പങ്ങു ഭിണ്ണനും കൊ ണ്ടൊരുനേരം RS. the blockhead (Rāvaṇa). ഭിണ്ണാകാരം gross (fr. പിണ്ഡം).

bhāṇu S.( ഭാ).The sun ഭാനുമയങ്ങുന്നു Bhr.; also ഭാനുമാര്‍ (shining). ഭാനുവിക്രമന്‍ N. pr. the first Sāmanta ruler in Trav. KM.; title of the 4th in Calicut etc. ഭാമിനി S. (ഭാമം S. light, rage). Radient, passionate f. (a wife).

bhrašṭaǹ S. (part. pass. of ഭ്രംശ്). Fallen, degraded സ്ഥാന-, ജാതി-, ജന്മഭ്ര-.V1. outcast. രാജ്യഭ്ര'നായി deprived of crown or home. ഭ്ര'നല്ലാത്തവനെ പുറത്താക്കിയും ഭ്ര'നെ കൂട്ടത്തിലാക്കി രക്ഷിക്കയും Sah. ഭ്രഷ്ടം (part. pass.) 1. fallen. 2. degradation, loss of privilege പ്രജകളെ ഹിംസിച്ചു ധര്‍മ്മ ഭ്ര. ചെയ്വാന്‍ TR. to destroy their religion — vu. ഭ്രഷ്ടു f. i. അതിനാല്‍ ഭ്രഷ്ടിച്ചു Anach. no loss of caste. അന്പലങ്ങളെ ഭ്രഷ്ടു ചെയ്തു TR. defiled. ഭ്രഷ്ടത excommunication, degradation.

bhavikka (S. ഭൂ). 1. To become, to be = ഉണ്ടാക f. i. പതിക്കോരാപത്തു ഭവിക്കും എന്ന വള്‍ ഭയപ്പെട്ടു KR. to happen. 2. auxV. ആ യിഭവിക്ക = ആയ്തീരുക, ചമക. — നിന്നാല്‍ ജ ഗത്തിന്നു ഭ. പ്പെടുന്നു സുഖം ChVr. = simpl. CV. പുല്ലിംഗയോഗം ഭവിപ്പിക്ക Si Pu. to change into a male. ഭവിച്ചായം (see ആയം) futurity. എന്തുവാന്‍ ഭ. Nal. = എന്ത് ആയം ഭവിച്ചാലും whatever may betide. ഭവിതവ്യം S. what is to be നീക്കാവതല്ല ഭ. ഒടുങ്ങുവോളം Anj. ഭവിഷ്യത്തു S. (part. fut. n.). future, futurity ഭ'ത്തെന്തോ; ഇതത്രേ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഭ. the fate that awaits you. വഴിക്കേടില്‍ (or കെട്ടു) നട ന്നവര്‍ക്കു വരുന്ന ഭ. ഇങ്ങനേ തന്നേ vu. ഭവിഷ്യം S. adj. future ഭൂതവും ഭ'വും വര്‍ത്തമാ നവും ഇല്ല Vēdāntavak. ശേഷമുള്ളവര്‍ക്കും വരുന്ന ഭ. ഇപ്രകാരം തന്നേ TR.; ഭവിഷ്യ ജ്ഞാനം Bhg. foreknowledge. ഭവിഷ്യരാം മാഗധന്മാര്‍ Bhg. ഭവ്യം S. 1. present ഭൂതവും ഭവ്യവും മേലില്‍ വരു ന്നതും AR. 2. = ആകുന്ന being as it ought to be, right, proper. ഭവ്യരാം അമാത്യന്മാര്‍ PT. = മന്ത്രിശ്രേഷ്ഠന്മാര്‍; also vu. അവന്‍

bhaktam S. (part. pass, of ഭജ്). Apportioned; a meal = ചോറു. ഭക്തന്‍ attached, devoted, in Cpds. as ശിവഭ. or നീലകണ്ഠന്‍റെ ഭ. Si Pu. his devout worshipper. തന്നുടെ ഭ. Bhr. ദേവിയുടെ ഭ. Anach. നല്ല ഭക്തന്മാര്‍ Si Pu. ഭക്തപരായണന്‍, — വത്സലന്‍ S. kind to his faithful (God AR. Bhr.) ഭക്തവാത്സല്യം ഭക്തന്മാര്‍ക്കു കണ്ടറിവാനായി AR.
