(parts of ഏത്തം). മെതിക്ക 1. To tread as loam, trample. — CV. പാഷാണം മെതിപ്പിച്ചു Sk. 2. to thrash നെ ല്ലു മെതിച്ചതും മെതിക്കാത്തതും MR. — CV. ൧൦൦൦ കററ മെതിപ്പിച്ചു മണിയാക്കി MR. 3. = മെ തിയുക to be assuaged, ദീനം മെതിച്ചു കാണു ന്നു vu. = ശമിച്ചു. മെതിക്കല്ലു V1. a door-lintel. മെതിമരം the step-board near or over a well, treadle of a weaver's loom etc. മെതിയം 1. a plank over the door (see മതിയം). 2. pieces of wood by which oars are kept in their places V1. മെതിയടി wooden shoes as worn by Brahmans & devotees KU. നല്ല മെ. തൊട്ടു പദങ്ങളില്‍ KR. — സൂചിമെ. slippers with nails or needles in them for austerities' sake. മെതിയാല V1. a kind of mortar. മെതിയുക (= മൃദുവാക?). māgadham S. Belonging to മഗധം q.v. മാഗധന്‍ S. a minstrel സൂതമാഗധജനം KR. = മഗധന്‍. മാഗധി 1. the Pāli dialect of Sanscrit. 2. the Sōṇa river മാ. എന്ന പേരാമാറിതില്‍ ഒഴു കുന്നു KR.

mēruṇṇuγa (Te. melugu & medugu, to associate with) = മരുങ്ങുക. To be tamed, attached കല്പകപ്പൂമലര്‍ നണ്ണിനവണ്ടു താന്‍ മ റ്റൊരു പൂവില്‍ മെരിങ്ങുമോ താന്‍ CG. v. a. മെരുക്കുക f. i. കാട്ടാനയെ to tame = മ രുക്കുക. VN. മെരിക്കം = മരുക്കം. മെരുവം Tdbh. = മൃഗം (huntg.).
