mēyγa 5. (മെയി surface). 1. v. n. To graze, browse ആടു മേഞ്ഞ കാടു prov. ഭൂതല ത്തില്‍ മേയട്ടേ CG. കോഴി ഒന്നിച്ചു മേയു ന്പോള്‍ TR. 2. T. M. (T. C. also vēy, Tu. C. bē) v. a. to thatch a house ഓല കെട്ടി പു ല്ലു മേഞ്ഞു jud. with grass; to tile ഓടു മേ., പുര മേ. (= പുതെക്ക). VN. മേച്ചല്‍ (മേഞ്ഞല്‍) see above. (858.) v. a. മേയ്ക്ക To cause animals to graze or eat, to feed, tend അശ്വങ്ങളെ മേപ്പതിനായി, പശുവൃന്ദത്തെ മേച്ചു. Bhr. CV. മേയ്പിക്ക 1. to cause another to feed cattle. 2. & പുര മേയിക്ക to get thatched. മേയ്ക്കൂലി the hire of a shepherd or for tiling. മേയ്പുകാരന്‍ B. a grazier, shepherd. മേയാപ്പുര a temporary roof as for the monsoon അറുത്തുകെട്ടു കയററാതേ മേ. വെച്ചു കെട്ടുകേ ഉള്ളു TR. (also പെയ്യാപ്പുര opp. പന്തല്‍).

mūḷuγa Te. M. (see മുരളു, മുഴങ്ങു). 1. To groan, moan, mumble കുമന്മാര്‍ മൂളും CG. വ യററില്‍ or വയര്‍ മൂ. Nid. rumbling of bowels. ചെവി മൂ. ears to tingle V2.; to buzz, as bees Bhg.; to hum a tune, as palankin-bearers, രാഗം മൂ. = ആലാപിക്ക (Brahmans). മൂണ്ടുപാ ടുക Palg. = വഴിപ്പാട്ടു. ആന മൂ. to bellow. ജാ തി ചാപല്യംകൊണ്ടു വാലെടുത്തടിച്ചുടന്‍ മൂളി യും KR. Hanuman, to give indistinct sounds. 2. = ഹുങ്കാരം assent with a 'hem' അനുവാദം മൂളി agreed, gave leave with a hem or nod. വരുണന്‍ വഴി മൂളാഞ്ഞളവു വില്ലു വാങ്ങി UR. not to give way. ഇന്നു പെരുവഴി മൂളുന്നതില്ലെ ങ്കില്‍ AR. ശകുനി എന്തു മൂളാഞ്ഞു സകലം സമ്മ തമല്ലേ CrArj. why did S. alone withhold his consent. നിനക്ക് ഒക്ക മൂളരുതെങ്കില്‍ പാ തി രാജ്യം പകുത്തു കൊടുക്ക Bhr. ലേലം മൂളുക = വിളിക്ക, മൂളി or മൂണ്ടുകേട്ടു Palg. listened attentively. VN. മൂളല്‍ 1. a hum, groan, whizzing noise. 2. a hem, as mark of content കട്ടവനോടു കട്ടാല്‍ മൂന്നു മൂളല്‍ prov.; also മൂളക്കം. CV. മൂളിക്ക to cause to grant leave. അഗ്രജ നെക്കൊണ്ടു മൂളിച്ചില്ലതിന്നു Bhr. could not persuade. നിന്‍ തല പത്തും മൂന്നാളകം മൂ ളിപ്പന്‍ RS. I shall get them off.

maδam S. (part. pass. of മന്‍). 1. Meant. ബൂദ്ധമതം Bhg. thought of the wise. 2. an opinion, view (= അഭിപ്രായം). എന്നുടെ മതം കൊണ്ടു പോയി, സ൪വ്വദാ തവമതത്തിന്നു തക്ക വണ്ണം ആം Mud. please yourself; religion, sect ദേമ. God's will. മറുമതക്കാരന്‍ of an other religion. ശൈവമ., വൈഷ്ണവമ. etc. മതത്യാഗം S. apostacy, — മതത്യാഗി pervert. മതപ്പിരട്ടന്‍ a heretic, heresiarch (Christ.). മതഭേദം S. 1. difference of opinion or religion. 2. partiality. 3. a different sect. മതയുദ്ധം religious war. മതശങ്ക (mod.) religious scruples, qualms. മതസ്ഥന്‍ S. holding a view or system. (ഹിന്തു മ., അന്യമ.). മതാചാരം S. the custom of a sect.

(T. മന്‍റം). 1. standing place, a place of judgment or discussion. അന്ന ത്തിന്‍റെ ബലവും ആയുസ്സിന്‍റെ ശക്തിയും ഉണ്ടെങ്കില്‍ മന്നത്താലിങ്കല്‍ കാണാം prov. under the village tree, in the assembly of citizens. 2.
