turaḷa (&തൊ — No., fr. ദുര്‍?, C. ദുരുള bad or (തുറടു??) = A cold, ജലദോഷം; തുരളയും മല്ലനും a severe catarrh & headache.

taṭṭam (T. C. Te. Tu. what is flat) 1. A log of wood tied to the neck of cattle കള്ളത്തി പ്പശുവിന്നു തട്ട (orതടി, മുട്ടി). 2. a large rattle V2. 3. കാതിന്‍റെ തട്ടയില്‍കുത്തി earlap. 4. No. വാഴയുടെ തട്ട the last cluster of a plantain bunch. = കടച്ചീപ്പു.

teyyam Tdbh., ദൈവം, as interj. O God! തീയന്‍ മൂത്താല്‍ തെയ്യം prov. തെയ്യന്പാടി, (ദൈവന്പാടി) N. pr. a caste of temple-musicians, like മാരയാന്‍ (8 in Taḷiparambu). തെ. കളോടു പിടിച്ചു പറിച്ചു TR. in Tāmarachēri, (also called കളത്തൂകുറുപ്പു). തെയ്യാട്ടു & — ട്ടം, (ദൈവാട്ടം) an offering to Bhagavati, performed by തെയ്യാടി or തീ യാടി q. v., (തേവാടി DN.) തെയ്യാന്‍, better തേയ്യാന്‍ No. = തേവിയാന്‍. തെയ്യന്‍, തെയ്യേലന്‍ (വേലന്‍), തെയ്യോന്‍ N. pr. m. തെയ്യത്ര N. pr. fem.

timi S. (തിം, തിമിതം wet) A large fish. തിമിഝഷം AR. തിമിംഗിലം S. a Fabulous fish, swallowing the timi; — a whale MC.

turaṇgam Tdbh., സുരഗം (but compare തുരക്ക). Amine in fortification, claudestine opening made in a wall. കള്ളന്‍ തു. വെക്കുന്നു vu.; വീട്ടില്‍ തു. വെച്ചു കേറി Arb. (and വീടു തു രക്കല്‍, തുരവു വെക്ക house-breaking).

toṭṭil 5. (തൊട്ടു‍ + ഇല്‍) A cradle. പൊ ന്നുകൊണ്ട് ഒരു തൊട്ടിലും കുട്ടിയും തരുവന്‍ SG. (a vow before child-birth). തൊട്ടില്‍പാട്ടു a lullaby. തൊ'ലേശീലം (see ചുടല).

tamaγaǹ S. (തമ്) Choking; one of the 5 last breaths പ്രാണന്‍ തളര്‍ന്നു തമകാദിക ളായി ചമഞ്ഞാല്‍ Anj.

tavaḷa T. M. C. Frog, chiefly in the grass. Kinds: സവികം & നി൪വ്വികം Tantr. tattiγa No. (fr. സത്യക, Tdbh. സ ത്തിക, permanent?) in: തത്തികക്കുട A dedicated umbrella with Cocoanut-leaf-fringes depending from the brim, used in festival processions. — ത'ക്കാരന്‍ the leader of a party, who take ഇള ന്നീര്‍ to a temple; leader of a കരക്കെട്ടി Māpl. marriage-procession (loc.)
